- mother board has 4 SATA connectors, installed NForce 4 SM Drivers and it doesn't see the drive, connected the drive to another board and it see it with no problem- number560

Try to find your chipset manufacturer or the manufacturer of the harddrive and find the SATA drivers corresponding to it.
