For some reason the LED display pad is all garbled-with just black dots; I cannot read anything or program phone; I have tried different outlets to confirm not the electrical; other other phones light up etc and can be programmed but really want to use this particular phone. Can you please advise on how to fix this problem?

3 month old vtech suddenly stopped dialing out or recieving incoming calls. Numbers make beeping noises still and handset says "connecting" throughout. All lines were checked. Landline works fine.

Tip 1 of 2 Recradle the handset for 15 seconds, then lift the handset and press PHONE. Tip 2 of 2 If the handset is not responding normally, you may need to reset your telephone system. Complete the following steps to reset the telephone system: Step 1: Disconnect the power to the telephone base. Step 2: Disconnect the handset battery. Step 3: Wait a few minutes and then reconnect the power to the telephone base. Step 4: Reconnect the handset battery Step 5: Wait about one minute for the handset to re-establish a link with the telephone base and then test the phone again. If that does not work, call the manufacture at 1-800-595-9511. Or take it back to where you purchased it and have then exchange it.
