These units had problems with capacitors in the power supply and main boards. Unless you like really hard CHINESE PUZZLES you are best to leave this to a pro.

SOURCE: no sound on my mitsubishi wd 60737 fresh out of

Verify that the speakers are enabled. This should be a menu option. If they are enabled and you still get no sound, there is a problem inside the set. You indicate that this is a new set. Return it for a warranty exchange. DO NOT open up the set as that will void the warranty.

Sound

Check its speaker first. If found OK, check the setting to sound. Refer its user manual for details. If it do not help you, make sure that there must be either damaged component/s at its audio output card, or, a corrupted software installation.

Model wd-60737 no volume

Look first to see if sound gone on all inputs---use a DVD etc connected to a input

Make sure in the menu speakers are not turned to OFF

last resort try the soft restore this model should have--menu, 1,2,3 enter

Set also has a hard reset but uses a different code I do not have.

Mitsubishi WD-60737

Not exactly a new set----check in menu that speakers did not get switched to off---

If using a box or receiver unplug them and the set from power for a while and plug them back to allow the set and the box etc to try to reboot.

This set should also have a soft reset--if it does with set on: menu,1,2,3, enter.
