Some units have a small hole right below where the tray opens ,you can put a paper clip in it and push to open the door.If yours doesn't have this try turning the power off for 10 seconds and turning back on,if you are using a remote to work the player try using the buttons on front of the player.Good Luck and I hope that this helps you..

Usually the tray has to be opened and inspected and if lucky it can be realigned--if not parts may be hard to find as they usually do not sell individual parts for the mechanism.

Nakamichi cd cassette player 1 not spinning discs

There's a Music Bank 7-disc player in use in my bedroom these days. Nice unit, but they used to come in for service once in a while- from what I could tell, these units don't 'park' the CD drawers on a soft power off- they simply shut down. When powered up again, they sometimes let the disc last in play slide off the tray & jam the machine. I've had no issues, as long as I always hit stop, wait for it to park, and then shut off. The analog output's sound has been very good (has a coax out as well).

Front panel on machine just reads ..disc not finalised.what does this mean please?

Are the discs ones that you created (burned), someone else burned, or commercial discs? The message of disc not finalized usually appears when you put a CD or DVD from one unit into anther without closing (finalizing) the disc. The finalization step doesn't matter if the disc is being moved between computers with compatible OS versions (for example: XP through Windows 7). However, any other device will need this procedure completed.

Take the disc back to the unit (computer or other burner) where the disc was burned. If the computer uses Windows, put the disc in the optical drive. Open My Computer (Computer) depending on the OS by double left-clicking on the icon on the desktop. Right click on the optical drive and select Close Session.

If you created the CD on another machine, check the details for that device.

Note: you should double-check that the format that you burned to disc is compatible with this CD player. Not all models support MP3 files. On my own older CD player, I had to burn WAV files without gaps in a Disc At Once format to get the discs to play without skips.

I hope this helps.

(if the discs were commercial discs or have been finalized, I would expect a different error. In that case, I'd suspect a tracking problem and a "No Disc" error.)

Sony MHC-GZR888D : Error C 31 00 & tray not opening

Either its disc loading motor, or the loading belt has the fault. Visit this site for more details. Type in the site name "Electro-help" either Google or Yahoo search box [not in the address bar of your browser], and click search. It is an electronic equipments service help site. All details you want are there. Note the position of hyphen in between words in site name, when you type it in. The site will appear as it is in web; subtitled as Service help to electronic home entertainement equipments.

Pull up older posts. You can get all details.

Site is listed in Google, and you can locate it either at the bottom part of first search page, or at the top of second page.

Click on associated ads too. Sometimes, it might help you.

Sometimes, the disc loading mechanism might need replacement. If so, contact the nearest authorised service center for Sony. The Sony disc loading mechanism can't be bought from open electronic spare part market.

My dell 1645 disc drive won't open , I burnt a

There should ba a tiny hole on the front of the tray cover on the drive.
Switch off, get a paper clip or something about the same thickness and insert it carefully in to the hole, push it in until the tray opens.

The machine will sew a few stitches then jam up. When I pull the material out there's a lot of thread on the bottom of the material. I've re threaded both top & bottm, cleaned out the bobbin...

Hope you are re-threading with the presser foot fully up so that tension discs are open? It sounds daft but
a change of needle often helps, you may have the wrong size in for the fabric or a blunt needle. Try re-setting the tension discs. The bobbin also has a tension spring but do note where it is before you start moving it as you may need to put it back.

A friend has got a hp 3604sa & she cant find the opening to put disc in where is it please

Hi,
The specified Model of HP does not have a 'Optical drive' (disc drive) which you are looking for, you have to connect an external 'Optical drive' (disc drive) to use cd. Go to this link http://www.bitdynasty.com/product-specifications-and-comparison/netbooks/web/hp-mini-110-3600-110-3604sa-specifications-reviews-and-shopping/#specifications where the specification of this model shows (in the storage area) 'Optical drive = none'
hope this helps, please leave a comment and rate if this solution was helpful, thanks!
