Ac quit working on 2010 gmc terrain

Had intermittent issue while under wrranty where ac system would not cool. dealer, of course, never found any problem. now has quit cooling completely. don't know if it's a related issue or not, but occasionally the radio will just not work when you start the car. usually fixes itself after a few restarts.

Could be! Perhaps there is an intermittent ground strap that is not making good contact. They are all over the place attached to the chassis and frame of the truck. Under the dash are the ones for the radio, and the radio antenna is the other ground where it connects to the body underneath. The Ac grounds follow the compressor lines.

What are the programing instructions for gmc terrain keyless remote fob?

According to a website I found for you, if it's a 2010 model you can't do it yourself. The site, which has much more information on the subject that you may want to read, said: "There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Try a locksmith before the dealership, they are usually 50% the cost."

The site also went on to say that it might be a good idea to go to your dealer (or call them) with your VIN number to see first if there have been any related recalls. Here's the site this info is from:

My 2010 GMC terrain is making a knocking noise when air conditioner is on. Had the timing chain replaced but dealer now says it is activator that needs replaced for additional $600. Is this possible?

It's POSSIBLE, although it may or may not be true. Is this a continuous knocking noise with the AC running, or does it just knock a few times, then stop? If it's continuous, does it change in speed with the engine speed?

At any rate, that vehicle SHOULD still be under warranty; the dealer should be taking care of all of that for no charge.

Hi, If I turn my 2010 GMC Terrain on , the heat

The heat shouldn't have anything to do with your car turning off and on. If there is a knocking while the heat is on then you probably have a heater motor going out in you.

Cruise control stopped working on 2010 gmc terrain is there a fuse for this or do I have to take it to dealer

It has a fuse, but may not be listed on the fuse panel. Your owners manual should have a complete list of every component on each fuse circut.

Why want GM put in after market car starter?

Becaus they want to sell you a starter. If you check the price you will see that the GMC starter will cost about 3 or 4 times as much as an after market starter. Parts are a high profit item for dealerships. If you bought enough parts to build a complete GMC Terrain from your dealer it would probably cost $200,000.00. A lot of local repair shops will only do AC Delco parts as well.

Where is the oil filter on the 2010 gmc terrain 2.4

The oil filter on the 2010 GMC Terrain is located in the engine compartment. You'll need a short depth 1-1/4" socket wrench to loosen the cap. The cartridge is in the canister under the cap.
