Question about Dual Xr4115 Mechless Digital Media Receiver 200w

Open Question

I installed a xr4115 dual digital media receiver in my 1997 jeep cherokee, I have power but no sound. I doubled checked the speaker wires and still nothing. I am really frustrated

One side of the door speaker wires is exactly what it is in dash, but passenger side door wires are different than what is in dash. This is crazy I have always had somebody do it for me, but then they seem to get stolen out of my car, so I am doing it myself. Thank you

XR4115 display. Not working

Hi Robert

Tap it & move it... any flickers on display

LCD displays have often use a flat copper ribbon connector that gets loose or bad connections.
Just releasing it & re inserting the ribbon cable often does the trick
Some use a fine carbon film on the glass connector.
Dont make the mistake of cleaning this fine carbon off when cleaning. Or it's done!

Cheers

I installed a dual xr4115 car stereo in my 1997 jeep cherokee, it has power but no sound. I made sure all speaker wires were hooked up correctly but still nothing.

I have the same problem: Has power but no sound. My installation is in a 1994 Mazda B4000. I put a DMM on each speaker wire and they all read 55 Ohms, so the speakers are good. I also swapped out the head unit at the store to rule out manufacturing defect. All looks good but still have the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.

If this is a new radio you are installing, these are the existing Mazda connections:

In joint box: BLU/BLK wire from 15A CIGAR fuse (accy/run power); BLU/RED wire from 15A ROOM fuse (always hot power).

LF speaker: RED and RED/BLK; RF speaker: RED/YEL and ORG/BLU (or RED/WHT); LR speaker: BRN and BRN/WHT, RR speaker: BRN/YEL and BRN/BLK; L door woofer: GRN/BLK and GRN/ORG; R door woofer: GRN (or GRN/WHT and GRN/RED

I tried to wire a jvc kd-r320 in a 1996 jeep grand cherokee, hook it up and i got no lights or sound, when i turned on the jeep lights a loud buzzing sound came over the speakers?

You have the live connected to a speaker, recheck the wiring diagram. Red is the acc power, Black Neutral usually and yellow is direct power from battery. Wire just these and check if you have power and then do the speakers after you have that much working.

97 jeep grand cherokee no sound from radio tested radio out of car it works. old owner had amp under back seat and cut into speaker wires in harness reconnected but still on sound

You will need to trace the speaker wires to see if they are disconnected anywhere in the harness. are you sure the speakers are OK? Fopr wire locations on the radio try going to: http://www.installdr.com/ They list the pin locations and wore coding you will need.
Good luck

1997 jeep grand cherokee idles low and cut out

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} First would probably try cleaning the throttle plate with carb cleaner and reinstalling the old idle control valve or at least double check the new one to make sure its installed correctly and sealed usually with a o ring.
I would also suggest you have codes read to see if it has any fault codes as you could have a sensor or wiring problem causing the computer to not be able to control the idle speed correctly.

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Factory amplifier

I have the file on my other computer - search other bulletin boards. Check with Crutchfield help desk.

Input wires are the speaker wires from the Amp head/receiver (so you can go to a BestBuy and ask them for the speaker wire colors). Black is ground. Yellow/black is main power. Blue/white is turn on wire. If in doubt take off the door panels and look at what color wires go to the speakers.
