Question about LaCie Design by F. A. Porsche 160 GB Hard Drive
I recently bought a Lacie RUGGED 250GB external hard drive to transfer docs from my PC to a new Mac Book Pro. The Lacie was first used on a iMac to save a film project - therefore it was formatted for that purpose.
When I connect it to my PC via the USB port (my PC doen't have Firewire ports) MY COMPUTER doesn't show that anything has been attached. The Lacie IS recognized by my Mac Book.
I have had the Lacie re-formatted to FAT 32 which my local Apple dealer tells me is the right format for transfering doc between PCs and Macs. But my PC STILL doesn't recognize it!
Just wondering if I've got a dud or if there's something I'm over looking.
It was bought in Dec so is only 1 month old! Hasn't been mistreated (I bought a RUGGED) so I could travel with it!)
Any assistance gratefully received,
I think the migration assistant (in the utilities file in your application folder) can transfer files direct via USB.
