Ir 6570 copy light

When you were replacing the drum did you tuch the drum surface?Best would be that you take some toner on piece of cloth, and polish the drum, while turning it in good direction, that the cleaning blade can clean it.After you must let it copy about 50 copies.

You can try to replace the whole drum unit cexv14, or clean the laser unit.

Also could it be that the toner unit, or toner cleaning blade are not properly distibutes the toner accross the developing/toner cylinder

Will not print out a complete copy, gives red light signal when trying to copy, and gives a "dirty" copy. we need to unplug, and/or hit the reset button everytime we use it, and occassionally it...

  1. you have to check the counter, if you get a bad copy quality it can be the cause of opc drum life end.
  2. if you are using a new OPC drum, you need to clean the copier, it must be doing by a technician,
  3. when you get the red light signal: look at the LCD and read the error message displayed. it can gives you an idea about the problem. you post your problem again on Fixya or just live a comment for this solution i will answer you.

I've lost my manual. Does the red light that

The red light that looks like an empty cylinder on the Sharp AL 1631 Grayscale Copier panel is the "drum replacement required" indicator. The "cartridge replacement" indicator is represented by 6 dots forming a triangular shape.
The drum replacement indicator lights up when there are about 1000 copies left until its end of life. It is only when the indicator starts blinking that the drum really needs replacement.
The part number for the drum is AL-100DR.
I hope this helps.

Minolta CF910 Copier

CF910 is Minolta first generation color copier, does any color like green or blue color have the same problem, there will not be any error message to change image units. only toner. The machine has only one drum, and each color gets a chance to place its color on the drum. Paper is held by the big plastic drum next to the drum. You should think about having a service technician come out and look at it.

Replacing drum unit on copier: Sharp SF 2114

Well, if the light under the glass doesn't come on, that means that black copies can hapen. Nothing to do with the drum or drum unit. Either the lamp burnt or the protecting fuse is blown. If you take out the glass, you can mouve the carriage with the mirrors to the right and you can see the exposure lamp. If it has dark ( like silver) bands on it, the lamp is burnt and its brightness will not be enough to make a copy. CHANGE THE LAMP. If the lamp is ok check the thermic fuse wich is in touch with the lamp carriage, and normaly it burns when taking a lot of copies in one go. The drum is a red cilinder that is in drum unit next to the developer unit where you put the toner. If you open the ma chine you can see it about the midle just above the transfer corona. If you don't get it right i can explain how to change the drum. GOOD LUCK.

Drum light

You need to reset the drum count. Open the toner door. Hold the "Go" key until all 4 lights light up. Let go of the button and close the door. That should reset the drum count and stop the blinking.

Sharp AL-1631 - would not copy.

Your unit definetly needs a new drum. The usual yield for this consumable is upt ot 15,000 pages, so at the stated rate, the unit yielded more than average. AL-1000 series share the same toner and drum, so finding remanufactured (or recycled) drum units should be no problem. In Puerto Rico, they are sold for about $79.00.
