WHERE IS FUEL SHUT OFF SWITCH

where you in an accident??????????
Gas or Diesel??? and what engine, is there?
the 1.4L turbo?
4 engine choices.
no such thing .(cut)
why ask this?
please post symptoms, and get real advice.

??? get car serviced under warranty..???

the fuel IS cuts for:
turn key to off cuts fuel.
1: out of gas. or wrong fuel.(clogs system)
2: PCM cuts the Fuel pump relay.
3: PCM cuts the ASD relay that then does #2
4: PCM cuts fuel at injector for up to 8 reasons
that only a scan tool can see..
then there is spark causes. if gas engine.
The PCM cuts fuel with even a hint of lost spark.

there is no crash fuel line cut device.
aka. Inertial fuel cut.

this is not some old FORD with crash cut.

here are the 3000 + parts on car

Compressor not engaging

the compressor on most modern cars, say 1990 to now.
you did not SCAN the OBD2 port yet for errors??? DTC errors????
the Compressor as a CLUTCH, and is disengaged or the belt missing.
bam it cant spin,,,, but why? easy.
all have a brain box, added to keep from blowing up parts. and other safety reasons. (all tests are easy and takes only a $10 walfart meter.
only location of brain varies. the FSM covers all this , in vivid details.
your PCM and Clilmate control unit CCU do all this logic together , this 04 Honda.
the manual system (not CC) uses Audio Hvac, display module.AHDM?
as you can see the FSM is complex here, I4 enginen V6 and 2 types
of HVAC why not get the FSM or use alldata.com read it.

  1. A fuse is blown check them all. engine bay TOO.
  2. The brain sees the Hi/low freon loop wrong, and kills clutch.
  3. Engine over heat detected. (real or not) (a sensor)
  4. Engine over load, (ECU tells A/T to shut down passing log trucks)
  5. AC evaporator, ICED up, (sensor) will only happen deep in to running system. and is normal. if not iced all time.
  6. 2005 throttle by wire system in LIMPHOME, can cut A/C
  7. HVAC cab blower DEAD.
  8. The PCM can cut A/C at any time. and does of or many reasons and not scanning the PCM , means ,you missed them all. SCAN it
safety cuts, are :
PCM engine overload, too steep hill, pulling a trailer , overloads.
overheat.?
limphome.? mode active, engine power limited.
anytime the PCM thinks the occupants are in danger or engine damage it can and doescut A/T and the newer the car, the longer this list seems to get.

SCAN the PCM.
first. then wonder.

Computer (PCM)

Someone is going to have to use a lab scope to determine where that glitch is originating from. It can be very difficult.

SINCE CAR WONT CRANK. NOW IS THE TIME TO REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH KEY LOCK CYLINDER ITS BROKEN THAT WHY THE CAR KEYS WOULDNT TURN OFF CAR.DISCONNECTING BATTERY CABLES WITH CAR RUNNIMG WILL.SHORT OUT ALTERNATOR AND PCM.IF IN CASE YOU HAD TO REMOVE BATTERY CABLE REMOVE THE GROUND NEGATIVE CABLE FIRST.MAKE SURE ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OFF LIKE RADIO. AC SYSTEM OFF.THIS WILL PREVENT LARGE ELECTRICAL ARC FROM BATTERY THIS IS ONE TIME PROCEDURE IN CASE ENGINE WONT SHUT OFF ITS A GAMBLE BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE OUT ALTERNATOR AND PCM.REPLACE THE SWITCH AND KEY LOCK CYLINDER DONT KEEP STARTING CAR BY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLE YOU WILL DAMAGE IGNITION ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

Have 1999 cavilleir does it have a rpm protecter

Yes, the PCM for your vehicle's engine has a rev/speed limit seeting programmed into it. Most stock, non high performance/police package vehicles usually won't go above a top speed of 97MPH. if you were to rev your engine while it was in park or neutral, once the engine reaches the cut out rpm limit preset in the PCM, it will cause the engine to cut back, then it will rev up until it hits the preset limit, then cut back, and it keep repeating that pattern. It may sound as though you have a high rev ignition failure that sounds like waaa, waaa, waaa, waaa, but that indicates the PCM is doing its job.

Car starts and cuts out after 2 to 3 seconds. fuel

When the ignition switch is turned on the pcm turns on the fuel pump by energizing the fuel pump relay. The PCM keeps the fuel pump on as long as the engine is cranking over or running. It does this by recieving pulses from the ignition module. If there are no referance pulses the PCM will turn the fuel pump relay off in 2 seconds with the ingnition on.

Most models also include a secondary control path through the oil presure switch witch will turn the fuel pump on after it detects oil presure.cranking time will be longer if the fuel pump doesn't recieve current until oil presure switch contact is closed.

REPLACED STEERING COLUM

You May need to Use The Old Ignition Lock & Key ,Due to the Chip In the Key.

Circuit Description

The PCM has a memory area where it stores certain data it needs to save when the key is turned OFF. This area is called Keep Alive Memory. This diagnostic test monitors the PCM's keep alive memory for a loss or unintended change of data. If such a condition occurs, DTC P0603 will set.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

Test Condition

Test continuously.

Failure Condition

Keep alive memory checksum does not match previous checksum.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

  • Clear all keep alive memory locations.
  • The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will not illuminate.
  • No message will be displayed.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC

  • A History DTC will clear after forty consecutive warm-up cycles with no failures of any non-emission related diagnostic test.
  • A Last Test Failed (current) DTC will clear when the diagnostic runs and does not fail.
  • PCM battery voltage is interrupted.
  • Using a Scan tool.
Diagnostic Aids

If the battery has been disconnected for any reason DTC P0603 will set. The PCM keeps a running check on the memory; if memory changes it resets. An intermittent loss of power or ground to the PCM will cause a reset.
