Question about Dell 1110 Laser Printer
I have faded print on printed paper 2inches from left and 10mm is the area that runs from bottom to top of page. All other printing is fine. I believe it happened after the printer mislined the paper feed into the machine and jammed. I yanked the paper out and am think there may be damage. The print is faded with lines almost running through it. Is the any remedies that I can try to fix this. All replies would be very much appreciated.
If you have trid a different toner cartridge, then I would first try a new drum (not sure if toner & drum are in same cartridge, some are so you will have to check that) If not that, then I would suggest the transfer roller bar would be my next suspect if the printer has a lot of copies done on it.

SOURCE: paper jam
I used the cardboard backing from an 8x11 tablet; I pushed it into the paperholder; it pushed out a small bit of paper which could not be seen; behold, the paper jam was no longer. I paid a computer repairman $15 to do the same thing with a plastic sheet.

Sounds to me like there is something in the paper chanel, a staple, paper clip or something small enough to get in there. Have you tried turning the printer upside down and lightly tapping the side to see if anything falls out?

SOURCE: paper jam on Dell Photo 926
You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

here's one for you. if it is jamming with one sheet almost out (the trailing edges is just out of the fuser. it will also jam the same way everytime. you might try a different brand toner cartridge. I have beening fixing several with this.
