Question about GE WSM2420T Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer
My washer will not drain after wash, I have confirmed the hose is not kinked. It was working fine yesterday. I fear the motor to the drain is clogged but I can't figure out how to remove the back panel to get to the motor

SOURCE: GE WJSE3110A washer, won't drain
On a scale of 1 -10, I'd rate this about a 3.5 in difficulty.
Un plug machine.
Use a putty knife to push the clips in at the seam of the front panel and the washer's top, about two inches in from each side to allow you to pull the front panel forward and then lift it off the bottom pegs.
If you took off that drain hose, you shouldn't have any water left in the machine, so take the two squeeze hose clamps off the pump hoses, the electrical wires off the pump, and the two 3/8 size bolts holding the pump to the washer's base.
Now check to see if the pump is plugged or obstructed with an object. Replace pump with cleaned out or new pump as necessary.

sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle

Hello friend, thanks for your post!
Based off the information you have provided your Crosley washer is not spinning. I would check to assure that the drain hose is not restricted or kinked. Anything blocking the hose from draining properly will cause your washer to not spin.
If these hose checks out to be fine, I would suggest a potential issue with the motor or control panel of your washer. If parts are needed to be replaced I would recommend you speak with a professional for further diagnosis and repair. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt

Hello rdketo - Typically error code E70 indicates that the water temperatures are wrong. Often this is caused due to the hoses are wrongly connected to the valves. Check the hoses and make sure they are located on the correct faucet and valve. Confirm that there aren't any restrictions or kinks in the drain hose as well. If issue persists, it will be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

Hello jamespeattie - Does the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose may be kinked or the drain in the house is clogged. Once you have confirmed and cleaned the hose and if issue continues contact a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly have a faulty pump or control board.
