Re: Tungsten E2 wont power on
Turn it on pressing the reset at the same time or take out battery and unplug/plug the battery. Your battery may have died. If this is helpful, post as such. If it is a fixya, post as such. I had an E2, can tell you alot about it. TY
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Battery is not a known issue for this model, However 3rd party batteries causes some self discharge issue. Make sure the battery is not defective. The little charge circuit on the battery might have different threshold voltage also. Normally battery should show around 4Volts when fully charged. After save your data try full reset and complete discharge of the battery and try again
The Tungsten is an excellent PDA You do have to be careful with how you handle it if you've dropped it too many times or set it down too hard or whatever something inside will get cracked or disconnected. So you may want to open it up (personally I use a really small screwdriver but there is a kit for 9.95 on PDAsmart.com that comes with a Shim like tool that is really useful for splitting the Tungsten open because its not easy getting it open and closed)any way open the back up and make sure everything is connected and clean especially the connectors to the screen, battery and USB/charging plugs. You may also need to try charging it overnight. If you haven't run the PDA in a while its going to read a full charge regardless of how much of a charge its actually holding. Also, there are alot of other places to get A PDA repaired do a little research and find a place near you that will repair a PDA. An official Palm repair is almost always going to cost you more than anywhere else.
If it's not the E2 going to sleep mode ;-), have it checked by a Palm service center http://www.palm.com/us/support/contact/repair.html .It might just need a new battery. Worst case scenario the charging system is faulty. Have it checked.
This means your battery must be as dead can be. Therefore it seems to be getting straight power only when you plug in the charger. Or your on/off button is dead.
Are you able to turn it off/on when you have charge plugged.
If so then I suggest getting a new battery for the E2 Palm and you should be back up and running.
If this is not the case then it is your on/off button in which it could be just the contact or the switch itself. I can suggest someone in US if you like, else I can handle it but I am in AUS.
