How to hook up 18"

Hello!
SO I am going to give you more of a signal layout from the turntables (or whatever you use to DJ) to the speakers.
Turn tables-> Mixer-> Eq-> Amp-> Sub and other speakers.
The part that I am not understanding is why do you need the QSC amp if you have a powered sub? The powered part of that means that there is a built in amp, which eliminates the need for the QSC amp unless you are sending that sound to main (non sub) speakers.
Hope that helps!

MAckie 1604 VLZ Pro Mixer, running QSC 1850 with jbl's from main outs. I would like to hook up powered subwoofers. What is the correct pathway? kenshireman@msn.com

The best way is to use a two-way crossover between the mixer and the amplifiers. In your case, the low output from teh crossover would go to the powered subs, the highs to the QSC. Use the crossover adjustment to set the frequency crossover point to get the sound quality you require.

Sounds like an output going bad. Try to get some electronic contact cleaner and spraying on the circuit board. If its corroded this will help clean the circuit..

This is a qsc plx 3002 power amp. when i plug it in the green light shows it want to power up but does not. instead it makes clicking sounds like it does when it goes into protection mode.within 10 sec....

You are correct, it is in protect mode, usually caused by an overload.
You need a QSC Service department for repair.

Sony STR-V444 suffer, like all amplifiers, from dry joints caused by vibration. Resoldering the output section on both machines may indeed repair them.
