I have a gateway all-in-1 computer & with windows

I have a gateway all-in-1 computer & with windows 7 & somehow it tried 2 restore the computer 2 its original state & now i have a black screen & I'm getting the message "windows could not complete & 2 install windows on this computer, restart the installation" but i do not have the installation disk. Please Help

Have you checked with Acer that your pc can accept Win 7.0?

if its not compatible then you may be floggin a dead horse with it, I doubt there will be many Win 7.0 drivers available yet for older systems but you may be lucky.

Check and see if the hard drive came loose check the bios to see if it is recognized..It is saying there is nothing with an O/S on it and when you put the disk in it does not register a hard drive to restore..Check the hard drive and start the computer up and see if you can cancel the restore and start the laptop up regular..

I have a Gateway M-7315u laptop that will not do a system restore. It goes through all the steps then says that it was unable to do the system restore.


Hi,system restore problems may be vary but these solutions must works some times:
1-try to use another date and time to check it works or not
2-your anti virus or security software may block it(try to disable it)
3-try restart your computer many times if it not works try restart>press F8 on your keyboard at the startup screen>choose safe mode >then in the administrator account try to restore
4-your windows drive(usually is c:\)must be at least 10 GB or more free space
5-try increase the virtual memory in windows (my computer >properties>change settings>advanced>choose first settings button>advanced tab>change button>customize size>in the initial size and maximum type 10240 MB>set>ok>restart the pc>try restore again
6-may be you have been infected by virus (rundll32.dll may be affected by virus) try to recover your windows with recovery DVDs,
7-try google it for more solutions

Gateway keyboard shortcut keys not working


You have two options to fix them res problem:

1. Do a system restore by clicking on start > programs > system tools > system restore. Select the date when everything was working fine and finish the restoration process. Let it restart and check if everything's working fine.

2. Update the driver of your computer. The possible problem of your computer are the outdated drivers. Doing updates manually is such a headache specially if you are not that computer savvy. If you want to do it automatically, then you can install RadarSync in your computer.

Bought a Gateway Netbook LT25 loaded with Windows XP. Was told by the salesman that I could upgrade to Windows 7, so I bought the software. Somehow, I screwed up the directions & ended up with Windows...


Try updating Win 7. Go to Programs and find Windows Update.

Microsoft might be able to provide the drivers automatically.

Afterwards visit www.intel.com/support/detect.htm

And run their auto detect tool. It works best if you run in Internet Explorer ;)

Trying to do a full factory recovery on an M Series gateway note


If you want to do the factory recovery, 3 ways to do the system recovery
First way
1 login to windows
2.click Start
3. click All programs
4. click Gateway
5. click gateway recovery manager
6. click restore
7. select systems recovery to factory defaults

Computer will restart itself and start doing the system recovery itself, All you need to do is follow the screen
