SOURCE: cannot hook eq to my receiver

The speakers will not sound right. You dont have two tape monitors on this receiver? You can simply use the tape otput to the EQ input, and then the Tape monitor input to the EQ output leads. Good Luck

SOURCE: abit EQ Temperature Monitor

If SpeedFan is showing the correct temp for the same sensor, and that temp varies, then it's an ABit EQ bug. Frankly, I've never been impressed with the latest round of Windows software that ABit/Asus/etc. have been bundling with their motherboards. I suspect they're outsourcing the development, and the programmers are better at "pretty graphics" UI's than solid functionality.

SOURCE: sherwood 460 equalizer hook up

Connect the EQ to the Sherwood as if it were a tape deck: EQ's outs connect to receiver's tape ins (play) and EQ's ins connect to receiver's tape outs (record).
Then you hook the tape deck up to the tape ins and outs on the EQ: Tape deck outs connect to EQ's tape ins (play) and tape deck ins connect to EQ's tape outs (record).
This will put the EQ in your receiver's tape loop.
The CD player should be connected to the receiver though the CD in's and out's (or if your Sherwood doesn't have a CD in/out, then use AUX or TAPE2).
To hear the EQed signal with all receiver sources (like the CD player) you'll need to engage the 'Tape Monitor' button or switch which will route the tape loop to the speakers.

How do I hook up Pioneer GR 470 EQ to my Sherwood RX 4105 receiver? I have Pioneer M403 's changer hooked up already

Normally you would hook up the EQ to the tape recorder in and outs of the Sherwood. This way if it has a tape monitor button, you can press that and all the functions would pass into the EQ.

'Direct' disconnects the EQ normally. Don't trash your amp because of a noisy EQ when you can bypass it.

I think I have my cables run improperly/no eq when playing tuner

You could tell us how the tuner, cd and eq are connected for a start. I suspect a Tape Monitor or Source/Tape switch is involved, either in the EQ itself or on a receiver if you have one.

Then you could start isolating for bad connections and cables by swapping the (separate???) tuner into wherever the CD is connected.

Im trying to connect a bsr xr eq to my avr687 denon receiver

If you want the EQ to affect the iPod music only, you can hook up the iPod output to the EQ input, then the EQ output to your receiver's AUX input (or DAT input, or whatever you're using to listen to iPod music.

If you want the option of using EQ for other signals as well, then you hook up the EQ to the TAPE inputs/outputs (TAPE OUT goes to EQ input, and EQ output goes to TAPE IN)

If you hook it up this way, then you have to select MONITOR or TAPE MON to get the equalized signal.

I am keyboard player and i want hook up an equalizer to the system where do i hook it up to

If you're only using the keyboard, connect the keyboard output to the EQ input, and EQ output to your amp.

If you have multiple instruments and a mixer, run mixer output to EQ input, EQ output to amp.

More info, let me know.

I cannot get the functions on the remote to operate.ie pbass dsp/eq etc?

The P.BASS function is only available with 2 channel LPCM sources such as mp3,Divx,cd
and wma. Press P.BASS button and "POWER BASS ON" will be displayed on the screen.
The P.bass does not work with DSP/EQ or DOLBY PRO LOGIC ll modes.
If you press P.BASS in the DSP/EQ mode, the DSP/EQ mode is automatically shut off and the P. BASS function comes on.
The DSP/EQ function is only available in STEREO mode.
Press the PL ii mode button to show STEREO on the display.
This feature works with CDs, MP3-CDs, 2 channel DVD-Audio, DivX and Dolby Digital discs.
When playing a DVD disc encoded with two or more channels, multi-channel mode will be selected automatically and DSP/EQ function does not work.

How do I connect a Marantz EQ 140 to a Marantz MR235 reciever through tape one (tape monitor) I am not confident that I have it hooked up correctly because I get music when the eq and tape monitor are on...

Dear driver800,
Don't you just love it when when someone who knows less than you do tries to answer your question? Why is it people who know little waste everyone's time with suggestions like "read the book"
On the back of your Marantz MR-235 you will find the RCA phono jacks marked Tape 1 Monitor Output these connect to the jacks labeled input on your EQ 140. The corresponding jacks labeled Tape 1 Monitor Input connect to the jacks labeled output on the EQ 140.
