Question about ASUS Laptop
I recently got my notebook back from Asus because the DVD-R/W drive malfunctioned and they replaced the drive, but now the bluetooth cannot be recognized or used. is this a software/driver problem? or is this a hardware malfunction as well? The bluetooth worked prior to it being shipped to Asus so I just can't figure it out. Please help.
The bluetooth switch might have been turned off. This switch can be found on some edge of the laptop. Mine is on the front edge near the trackpad.
You can also check the Wireless Console. It is the round, blue icon on your system tray (lower righthand side of screen where the clock is).
Hope any of these helps.

Try using VLC as your player. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes). Look for the Video Lan download from site www.videolan.org/vlc Download and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats and media. It's totally FREE.
