SOURCE: will not balance
The front 2 legs should be screwed in completely, and locked with the check nut. (the check nut is at the upper end of the bolt, and is a loose nut) This means the machine is lowest in the front. If you find any shake (try with both your hands) adjust accordingly, & lock with the inner check nut. Normally the machine adjusts itself if the weight is un-balanced; but it cannot do anything if the legs are uneven.
There could be some spring or shock-absorber come loose inside the machine. Plug off the wall, remove panel behind & check. If you could remove the top to check fine. Also find out the actual capacity of the machine - look user's manual (a book which is seldom read), it would be good to actually weigh your dry laundry to have an idea. Would be nice if you rate me pl. Good luck.

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

SOURCE: washer won't spin
Did you check that the door lock switch is working?
See this thread:
If it's not the door-lock switch, you need a new speed control board.

SOURCE: washer wont spin
If the unit will pump, but not spin, check out the following:
* Door latch switch- inside the washer main housing near the door frame. Check switch with an ohm meter to determine if it is good or bad.
* The drive motor.
*The spin bearing or basket drive may be seized.
The most likely problem is the door switch. Hope this helped. Good luck.

Can you access the location of you motor?
try to open the back and unscrew the cover and see if you can see the motor, try to start it but don't get near to much just enought to see if it is moving or not.
if it still running and rotating see the belt maybe it is too loose or maybe it is to tight,
But if it just humming, turn it off and unplug, see if you can rotate the motor with your hand, if you can then you'll need a starting capacitor, you got to buy one and install.
But if it is hard to turn even without a load, then you'll need to bring your motor to a service center to check for the bushing and shafting and lubrication.
your motor winding is still ok since you heard a humming sound, that problem would be the mechanical part.

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt
