Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Stelios: there is no "linux" choice on the link you provide. thumbs down, looks like you haven't even tried dwonloading it, without mention to getting the device to work with the "driver" you suggest.

I HAVE JUST INSTALLED LINUX UBUNTO SYSTEM AND MY SCANNER DOES NOT WORK.MY SCANNER IS CAN0SCAN LIDE 100. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I have many years of experience with canon scanners so here is my suggestion for you.

I honestly I dont think any model of Canon scanner is designed to work under Linux, you may try contacting canon directly to see if they have drivers for your scanner. I hope this helps you out if not let me know.

Where can I get a Linux driver for my CanoScan 8400F

I worked round it by ditching my Canon scanner. I wil replace it with one from a manufacturer who is more Linux friendly.

Linux compatibility

Karateng83, Have you gone to the Linux download sites to verify if a driver is available for the Canon FB630U? The next thing to do is to go to Canons homepage and if you cannot find anything there, e-mail them with your request. If that fails, go to Sourceforge.com and verify what is available for Linux drivers. they have a search engine.

Drivers for Linux

I've had to use guttenprint 5 to set up non-supported printers in linux, have you tried that?
I found a fix, though! Simply use the already installed "Canon PIXMA MP150 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.0.1" driver. It seems to be printing fine. You can copy and fax stand alone still on the unit itself. I guess that we will have to wait for a real driver to take advantage of the onboard scanner. Hope that this helps!
