Beethoven's 5th Symphony was one of them.
You can reaquire them by uninstalling Windows Media Player, and then reinstalling it from the installation CD for the Philips - my opinion, which is just my opinion, is that it is more trouble than it's worth.

Attach it to your computer via a usb cable, Click on the disc holding the MP3 and open up the file containing the song folders. Then it is a simple matter of deleting and adding until you are satisfied, remembering to use the safe hardware release mode.

You can delete tracks individually with Windows Media Player. Content on the player is shown in the right hand window.

You can also format the player with the Device Manager software. Select the restore / repair option.

Deleting mucis off of sylvania smp1015 mp3 player

Plug it into a PC and navigate to the mp3 player and delete the song(s) you don't want. For some reason the Sylvania does NOT like certain USB 2.0 ports such as the ones on my VIA-based shuttle, but it works fine with USB 1.1 ports.
