New hub and abs light come on when turning or hit bumps

The brake sensors. Cars with antilock brakes have an amber or yellow warning light, which usually says ABS. If this light stays illuminated after the bulb check, it indicates a problem with the antilock braking system. The ABS controller will disable the system and your brakes should function as if you don't have ABS. In this case, you can safely drive the car to a mechanic for service.

What does 'abs' mean on the dash board

It does mean "Antilock Brake System"...but the light means there's a possible issue with that "ABS" system. There are sensors in ABS systems that detect things like wheel spin or when lock because they have to know that if your car says it's doing 50 MPH, then why is wheel locked. It senses that sort of thing and will then let the wheel spin more freely because you slammed the brakes on and locked up the wheel. So for better control, the ABS reduces the brakes and lets the wheel spin which give you better control. That's why it's "AntiLock"...so check your sensors. Get a shop manual or look up where the ABS sensor is for your car online. You can check things like brake fluid levels too just to make sure they're ok.

Ani brake light comes on somtimes

"ani brake light"??? Do you mean Antilock Brake light? If the antilock brake warning lamp is illuminating while driving under normal driving conditions, then you probably have a malfunction in your antilock brake system. You must scan your antilock brake control module to find out why it has been illuminating the light. Wheel speed sensor malfunctions are a common cause of the symptoms you are describing, but you cannot be sure if that is what is causing it, or which one is causing the problem without scanning the controller and performing proper diagnosis.

1991 Lincoln Towncar anti brake lock light stays on.

It's very possible you have a faulty wheel sensor. Look behind each wheel. Around the center you can see a wire harness attached. Check each wire harness for broken wires. I don't think this car has a self test to tell you which wheel has the problem. You will probably have to take it to the dealer and let them tell you.
When the antilock light comes on your cars system is telling you of a problem and also that you have standard brakes now and no antilock.
You can most probably drive normally as long as the system is staying full of brake fluid.

Abs light stays on

It sounds like you have a bad sensor on one of the wheels.Sometimes you can take the veh to autozone or advanced auto parts and they can hook it up to thier scanner and tell you which one is bad(they do this for free) if they have an abs scanner.

Both the abs and brake light is on and stays on what could be wro

Your ABS systems use a combination of electronic and hydraulic systems to modulate the brakes individually to prevent them from locking up. Antilock systems consist of wheel speed sensors, a hydraulic control unit (HCU), and an electronic control unit (ECU). Because of how complex the system is your computer does a self-test. If the check is successful, the ANTILOCK and BRAKE lights will go out within a few seconds. If one of the component of the ABS system fails to pass the test one or both lights will remain lit. One or both warning lights may also come on while driving, also indicating a problem. If just the ANTILOCK warning light comes on, some ABS component has failed, but the car still has hydraulic brakes. You or a technician will have to perform further testing to pinpoint cause and the proper repair.

Please let me know if this information is helpful. Positive feedback is appreciated. Thank You!

Antilock brake light is on.and there is a constint

Grinding and squeeling, sounds like you need brakes and possibly rotors. If you can't do it yourself you might have to take in to get it fixed. The light comes on cause its letting you know that the ABS won't work but your regular braking system will.Check fulid level and brake pads and rotors.

The grinding noise could the the ABS pump or your brake pads could to worn to the metal backing and grinding against the brake rotors. I recommend a inspection soon for your safety.

The ABS light has come on in my 53 plate Renault Clio

That is the light connected to your antilock brake system. More often than not the problem is a faulty sensor and not an actual brake problem. Do you still feel the antilock brake pumping action when you brake? If yes, your antilock brake system is still operational, if not then you simply have conventional brakes which would require you to pump the brake pedal if you were driving on slippery roads. Good luck.
