You cannot. The phones use broad spectrum transmission with auto select and a key signal that is sent when you pair the two.

We bought a Panasonic KX-TG 8321 AL cordless phone last christmas and it was working well until recently. It suddenly started picking up interference from the adsl wi-fi transmitter to the point we need to...

Unfortunately the EMI/RF interferances are a conflicting part of our day to day life.
Now you have this conflict of the wifi with your cordless to interfere.
So one option is to keep the base phone off to another location away from the wifi.
Move the antennae away from the strong signal pick up to lessen the interference. If porblem started recently it can be fault in the base unit changing. frequency

5808 drops call and starts searching for base

Got a wireless router? Change channels on the router off Ch6, the default channel and that may help your phone communication to the base station. I have had wireless phone customers lose their wifi when their phone rings, same frequency or intereference on that frequency.

GHZ's

Well, besides being double in frequency its just the frequency the phone is using to talk back to it's base station. The higher the frequency, the more power consumption required to cover a longer range. The only reason phones are constantly changing frequencies is because as we keep developing wireless devices that are interfering with existing devices and must use a different frequency to avoid the conflict. If your next question is would a 6Ghz (it's actually 5.8Ghz) phone be better than a 2.4Ghz phone. Only if you are having issues with a wireless router that is running at 2.4Ghz and your dropping offline because of it. Otherwise, I don't think they are worth the extra money.

Sorry if long winded but I hope this helps a little.
