Hi! I bought a new asus eb1505 4GB RAM 500G disc. I switched it on, it asked me for some settings (language, EULA etc.), I set an username and a password. Than it said it should restart. Ok. After...

What I would do is to on post pressing your PC's power on begin to click over and over till you see a screen the F8 key. Go into Safe Mode or you may be able to Start Windows Normally. If this does not work then you must either do a Recovery or Run Windows disk.

Can't remember my wep code. Need wep code for DSL, for laptop, & other game systems

Connect your computer to one of the ports at the back of your router with a DSL cable.

  • Open a web browser and type "http://192.168.1.1/" in the address bar. This will bring up your administration page for your router.
  • Log in by leaving the username blank and use "Admin" for the password. These are the username and password you use if you haven't already set something up previously.
  • Click on the "Wireless" tab at the top of the screen, and then on the"Wireless Security" tab.

The left click on my eeepc 701 is not working and am unable to drag. thanks.

It sounds like your track pad is dying. This should not be a problem though if you have a USB mouse near by. Just plug the mouse in and it will work. Then navigate to the mouse and trackpad settings in the computer to see if a setting can be changed to get the track pad working again. Otherwise, just buy small USB mouse to carry around with your eeepc.

How to set up password for the router

    Hi,

You should connect your computer to the router with an ethernet cord.

1.Click on Start - accessories - command prompt.

    2. On the command prompt, type ipconfig look for the default gateway. Take note of the number found in default gateway.

    3. Open Internet Explorer then type the number from the default gateway in the address bar.

A window will pop up and will ask for he username and password. By default, username: admin sometimes they leave it as blank and the password: password sometimes it uses admin as the password.

    Keep me posted.

Hi i have the linksys model wub54g router an adapter i would like to put a password on t stop other uses on my internet

U don't need a password. U need to set U'r router to a secure mode, not open ended. use WEP or other (64 bit or 128 bit) encryption. linksys allows U to select a paraphrase, example: "Love2Air" and it will generate a code, i.e. "7D23C678867". This will allow others to see that there is a wireless system, but they have to have the code to use it. U will have to have the code in your other wireless pc's in order to use the system. U can also tell the router what MAC address' (pc address') to allow or disallow to use the system.
A password is used to keep others out of U'r routers setup and changing U'r code or paraphrase. If U'r system gets highjacked, there is a reset on the router and everything will revert to the book defaults. Don't loose the book.

ASUS 7 INCH 4G SDD 512MB DDR EEE PC 4G SURF PEARL WHITE (MODEL NO. 701) is this a good pc buy? also does this have a port where I can have an external dvd rom if I wanted to? a printer? is linux easy...

Here is the specs for this unit, and it is XP compatible.
if you seriously want one of these, I would go with the 4g and not the 4g Surf. You get much more battery time, and after all this is for battery time, or you would get a laptop. Its a nice SMALL machine, but has VERY limited capability. Honestly its a glorified PDA. If you want a Computer that can do it all, invest in a laptop. You can get a very nice one for under $450 and get much more out of it.
