PRINTER NO POWER

I press the power on button of my printer is no power. I check the cable but it connect properly. What is the problem of my printer?

Depending on the model and design of your printer, it could be several things. If the printer has an external power supply, it may have failed.

Try plugging the printer into a different outlet (Bypass any surge protectors etc) with all cables disconnected from the printer. If it powers on, then try connecting the data cable and see if it still works.

If the printer doesn't power on with all other connections removed and in a different outlet, then if under warranty, contact the manufacturer for repairs/exchange.

If the printer is out of warranty, they are generally cheaper to replace than to repair

My ibm s50 cannot start at all. when the power cable is connected there is power on the board but after pressing the switch on button the machine does not start.


check if the power cable is properly connected at the back port of the system. and can you hear the fan running sound from the system?
It may also be possible that monitor cable has become loose.check the cable connection for monitor too.

No power , computer will not turn on


Hi, IF the system is not turning on any more, try removing the power cable, then press the power button for 10 seconds. then try to power it on again . If it is still not powering up there could be an issue wiht the power supply of the computer. But if it start to turn on, like showing the Sony logo then windows but not going to the desktop. you can try to log on using safemode. you can go there by pressing F8 on the keyboard after turning on the computer. If it still not turning on even on safe mode. there couldbe an issue with the operating system of the computer and needs to be reinstalled.

HP PSC 1510 ALL-IN-ONE IS NOT FUNCTIONING, ALL LIGHTS ARE BLINGKING.


This means that the PSC 1510 has a fatal error. Try resetting the all-in-one - turn off the unit. Unplug the power cord from the printer and then from the wall. (Also disconnect the data cable - it's not required but can help.) Wait a few seconds then reconnect the power cord (wall and then printer). Turn on the printer.

Check that the control panel overlay is properly installed and connected. (If the printer has worked until recently, do not pry up the overlay. Just press down firmly to make sure the adhesive and pins are situated properly.) If this is a new printer, turn off the unit, unplug the power cord and lift up the scanner lid. Then install or reseat the overlay. Make sure the tabs are in the slots and then press down firmly on the edges to secure the adhesive. Then put on the faceplate. Close the scanner lid, plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

If the above solutions do not solve the problem, then the all-in-one needs service. If it is under warranty, contact HP. Otherwise, decide if it is worth repairing (and the cost of shipping to a service center, if you don't live close to one).

Turn off the RAM disk on the printer.

Follow these steps:

Troubleshooting steps

1.
Verify that the formatter light is blinking or steady. If the formatter is blinking, it is functioning properly and probably does not need to be replaced. If the formatter light is not blinking, proceed to Step 2.
2.
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
3.
Remove the HP Jetdirect card, third-party device, hard disk, parallel cable, or IFR cable from the formatter if one is installed.
4.
If the error continues with accessories removed from the formatter, perform a cold reset on the printer. Ensure the HP Jetdirect card is not in the printer during a cold reset or the card settings will be changed back to default settings. To perform a cold reset, do the following:
1.
Turn on the printer.
2.
Watch the control panel.
3.
When the memory starts counting, press and hold the green (Select ) button.
4.
Continue holding the green check button until the Ready, Data, and Attention lights flash once, and then stay on steady.
5.
Release the check button when the Ready, Data, and Attention light are on steady.
The control panel will display SELECT LANGUAGE .
6.
Press (Down Arrow ) button once. The control panel will display COLD RESET
7.
Press (Select ). The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.

If the printer comes up to ready, print a Configuration page. If a 49 error occurs from printing internal pages, continue on to the next step.
6.
Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord.
7.
Remove the eight screws around the formatter.
8.
Remove the formatter. See Figure 1.
9.
Reseat the firmware and memory modules on the formatter. Check for any DIMMs that are non-HP and remove them. Non-HP DIMMs are not supported by HP and may cause this error. Replace with HP DIMMs, if necessary.
10.
Reseat the daughter (interconnect) board. The daughter board is connected to the formatter behind EIO slot #1. To release the daughter board, push in the black retaining tab underneath the formatter then lift up the one side of the daughter board.
11.
Reseat the daughter board.

12.
Install the formatter.
13.
Turn the printer on again.
14.
If it comes up to READY , print a configuration page. If a 49 error does not appear from printing internal pages, or at power up, continue to the next step.

Install the HP Jetdirect card and hard disk before installing the formatter. Verify that each device is properly seated.
16
Test any EIO devices, by turning off the printer, installing each device separately, and printing a Configuration page. Repeat for each EIO device.

If the 49 error occurs with any EIO device installed, replace that EIO device.

I press my power button on and nothing comes on the screen. My screen is black as if it wasn't on. Please help me I have a Dell VOSTRO 1000


does a light come on when you press the power button? Remove the battery then just use the power adapter.Then check the cables of your power adapter if it is connected properly. Try unplugging and replugging the cable at the back of your laptop. Make sure that on the the power adapter ( the small rectangular boxlike) has a green light. Then try pressing the power button again.

When going to print to a laserjet 4000pclx printer I get an error code 7900FE. What is it and how do I fix. it.


If you have cleared the print queue so there are no outstanding 'faulty' files; it's worth knowing that the 79.00 error can also be caused by poorly fitting or incompatible memory cards.

To clear the printer queue on PC

click on start
click on run
type: services.msc
scroll down to print spooler
right click on this service then press restart
exit out and try again other wise continue below..

Can you make sure they are firmly mounted?

Remove all communication cables so that only the power cable is connected.

Remove the Jetdirect card, if installed.

Remove any other accessories, such as the envelope feeder.

Hold down the green "GO" button.

Turn the printer on.

When the words "Cold Reset" appear in the display, release the green "GO" button.

When "Offline" appears in the display, press the green "GO" button. "Ready" should appear in the display.



NOTE: If the words "Cold Reset" do not appear in the display, hold the "GO" button down until you hear the motors rotate. The words "Restoring Factory Settings" will appear in the display if the "Cold Reset" was performed successfully.

Turn the printer off once the printer displays the “Ready” message.

Reinstall each of the above-mentioned components, one at a time, turning the printer on and off again each time a component is installed.

Continue installing and power-cycling until all accessories are installed and the printer is at a “Ready” state.

If it is determined that one of the components is responsible for the 79.00FE error, refer to next.

If the printer will not return to a “Ready” state after removing all of the components and performing the cold reset, try a different power source by moving the printer to a different location and plugging the power cord directly into the wall.

If the printer continues to display the 79.00FE error, upgrade the firmware. A firmware DIMM can be obtained from the HP Parts Store at http://www.hp.com/buy/parts . Version 6.36 Firmware DIMM is Part Number C4251-67905; however, part numbers are subject to change without notice.

If the printer still continues to display the error, contact HP for further assistance.

Printer not printing from computer


Hello:

To resolve this situation try the following:

1) re-install a driver. Goto HP.com and download a anew driver. COmpletly uninstall the old one.

2) Force your deskjet to run a self test...disconnect the cable from the PC...power off the unit...hold down the print button...turn unit back on.

3) try a new cable

4) Download a manual here

Red light


System does not power on and the LEDs on the front of the computer are not flashing.
System unable to power on.
Press and hold the power button for less than 4 seconds. If the hard drive LED turns green, then:
1.Check that the voltage selector is set to the appropriate voltage.
2.Remove the expansion cards one at a time until the 3.3 V_aux light on the system board turns on.
3.Replace the system board.
OR
Press and hold the power button for less than 4 seconds. If the hard drive LED does not turn on green then:
1.Check that the unit is plugged into a working AC outlet.
2.Open hood and check that the power button harness is properly connected to the system board.
3.Check that both power supply cables are properly connected to the system board.
4.If the 3.3 V_aux light on the system board is on, then replace the power button harness.
5.If the 3.3 V_aux light on the system board is off, then replace the power supply.
6.Replace the system board.
