Go to My computer, right hand mouse click on the pen drive and select Format.
If the pen drive is not visible, go to Control Panel select Administrative tools, select Computer management and select Disk management. There will be your drive. Format it from here.
Hope that helps.

I can't format my pen drive how can I format my pen drive

Hi,
there may be a small sliding switch that could be set to "Protect" ie the drive is protected from formatting, or deleting or even adding files.
Change the position and then re-insert the drive into your computers USB port. Go to My Computer, right click the pen drive and select "Format"
FAT32 format will give you a drive that is readable and compatible with Windows 95, Win98, Win2000, XP etc.
You can format in NTFS format but it will only be readable by Win2000,XP or Vista or Win7.
Cheers,
Steve

Unable to transfer files to sony 4gb pen drive

Restart your PC and try it again or try it on other PCs. If problem persists then pen drive is defective. Return to retailer and ask for a replacement.
