I've had the same problem for 2 weeks now. I took the phone to the T-Mobile dealer and they called tech-support and had the phone reset. I had to redownload my applications but the SIM kept the contacts info. The gmail worked for about 2 hours before I got the same message again. I've learned that certain applications don't work without utilizing the gmail function... ie, Shazam cannot send me the songs it analyzes and I cannot send a voice recording to anyone, etc. I'm extremely frustrated with this phone. At first, the battery wouldn't hold a charge, right out of the box. We took it back the next day and the guy who sold us the phone took the battery out of his own phone and swapped with me (which was cool). But I think my phone is lemon.

My phone was synchnoryzing jsut right but the last time it worked was on Jan 28th 2009. after that it keep giving me the same message. Sync is experiecing problem. it will be back shortly.

I tried to take out hte sim and the battery but it didn't work,. I have over 600 contacts with over 1400 phone numbers. and I added too many new and it's really bad if I can't do the sync for the contacts.

I had this problem once....i had to reset the phone. after the reset, the device will ask you to sign in again. it should work then.....

keep in mind, resetting the phone will delete all info like apps you have installed on tthe g1. numbers and calender appointments will be safe if you can remember your login info!

with the handset off, press the HOUSE and POWER keys > you will see a triangle with a yellow '!' inside. > slide open the keypad and press 'ALT' and 'W' and go through the set up again. this should work! :) good luck!

Remove security code with out restoriing phone to factory settings

Try this:
I refused to do that hard reset trash and erase all of my information. This method is also just in case you don't have anyone to call you or you're too impatient to wait:
This is inspired by the many posts that tell you to frequently press home while someone's calling.

1. I hit the emergency call button then repeatedly hit home (pic of the house) while opening and closing the phone and went to the home page. It worked repeatedly.
2. Then I went in and took off the pattern request in settings.
3. In settings, make sure Google sync is checked.
4. I changed my password on the computer in Google (with same account).
5. Wait some time 5-10 minutes or less (make sure you have internet service where you're located on your phone).
6. Then it will tell you to enter your password. Enter your new password.
7. Close your phone or hit the red power key.
8. The same locked screen will prompt you for your username and password again. Enter the new password and it will log you in.
9. It will tell you to put in your old pattern or put in a new pattern (I forgot? sorry).
10. Then, you can go into settings and security once you unlock and remove the pattern. You have to enter the old pattern to remove the security.

Try this too:

******This will work and you wont lose any data!!****** Get someone to call you. After answering, flip the screen open and shut repeatedly, tapping the "home" button every few flips. Eventually you'll drop through to your home screen. This may take a few tries.
Go into your security settings and disable the unlock pattern. You can now bypass the lockout just by opening the keyboard. Change the password on your account, which may be your Google Apps account if you have one. In a few moments, your phone will fail to sync with email and prompt you for a password. Enter the new password. You can now log in with the new password. Lock your screen, press menu to try unlocking it, and enter your new information. This should unlock your phone.

I have a Palm Tungsten E. Whenever I try to hot sync there is always this error message as follows; An error occurred in the application you are using Note the error code and contact the developer of this...

Hi,

The Graffiti and the Backlight applications are not compatable and must be deleted.DO a hard reset (Press power button and reset until the Plam Logo screen shows, press up button - this brings you back to original factory setting, and potentially undoes all the stuff you did when trying to make the thing work), synchronize, hit home icon, press menu button, select delete, find Backlight, hit delete, find Graffiti, hit delete, and sychronize again.

My bb 8310 AT&T device won't pair with a headset or with my ford fusion

Make sure you have the correct password for your phone. Also look in your fusion manual as to the correct steps needed.

  • Press the Power Button. // This is on a 2010 Ford Fusion.
  • Then you hit the Phone Button.
  • It should say “No Phone Paired” that means that no phone has been paired with this.
You now have a choice of options:
  1. Add Bluetooth device
  2. Connect Bluetooth device
  3. Set Primary Phone
  4. Set Bluetooth On/Off
  5. Delete Device
  6. Delete all Devices
You want to choose Add Bluetooth Device, press OK
  • Then on your mobile, turn your Bluetooth On.
  • Setup Bluetooth – Search
  • Now it’s searching for it, when that gets full, Click Sync.
  • Then you’ll want to enter the PIN number that’s on the screen.
  • Say YES to connect to Sync.
  • Now screen on dash will say your mobile phone

When i type in my password it doubles stars and when i hit the delete button when trying to enter phone it adds another star

Certain hardware can be configured to act like that when entering a password. If someone is looking over your shoulder he/she will be fooled into believing that you are entering a very long password.
Just enter your password normally and disregard the number of asterisks. But please read your manual, I do not want you to lock your machine by mistake.

Was locked out of G1 phone becuz pattern was drawn to many times, entered my userid and password but the phone still won't unlock. saying invalid username or password. I can however enter gmail on the home...

Right now the G1 is having issues logging into the phone after you get locked out using a screen pattern. Just try to remember to write down the username and password you used the first time that way you won't lose the information on your phone by having to reset it. Also make sure you are typing it carefully and make sure to enter your whole gmail address too (Ex. example@gmail.com). Also if you have had to change your password from a computer after you logged into your G1, it does not take the password change. A way to avoid that is to login to the G1 again. Sync your contacts to gmail first (Settings > Data Synchronization > Menu > Sync Now). Then go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Apps > Clear Data. To sign in again go to Settings > Data Synchronization and it will give you the option to create an account or sign in.

Alarm not sounding & notifications not displaying +- syncing

Hi. First of all, I think the hard reset is not the first solution, but it's the last and the absolute solution. But in case if it is needed you can perform it by: The phone buttons + reset & power = hard reset. Firstly, tap the Start and the Settings. There, find the Sounds & Notifications. Ensure that the first 3 of the checkboxes are checked. And select the second tab to configure your notification sounds and vibration settings. After you've done these, you can try to set an alarm and check if your PDA notifies you. If not, you can also give a try to this free alarm application (http://www.ageye.de/download/galarm.cab) for your PDA. If none of these work, you can try to hard reset your device, but you should backup all your data before a hard reset since all the data will be lost after a hard reset. Hope this helps.

Asks for password after Hotsync button pressed

Try looking at (from the main applications menu) Preferences, then Security. I have a T5, so the operating system is likely different, but there are two passwords there that can be enabled...password and quick unlock. I know if I push the hotsync button on my cable to sync before I unlock the T5, it will prompt me for a password. You can also try making sure you are logged in and have access to your Treo "before" hitting the hotsync button. On the T5, if I'm already on the T5 and hotsync I don't get prompted for a password. If this is totally off-base due to the differences in the T5 and Treo, I apologize for the confusion.
