What is the difference between the B model and the C. Are they both the same high efficiency pumps. I notice that the C has a replacement UST1152. Is that correct?

Replace the machanical seal in the pump. It seals the shaft opening through the pump and is about a $5 - $10 part.

the pump must not have any air leaks in the suction side of it,, or it will just **** air and not water,,, water is very heavy you see, however i think its the impeller in the pump thats the problem,,,you should try to put water in the out let of the pump so you fill the pump with water first if its dryed out it may just wear out the impeller before it starts to **** water up, if this still dont work turn off the stop **** and strip out the pump to look at the impeller any wear on it and it will need a new one fitted

it you've inspected all the wiring for possible shorts, the most likely problem is that the motor has developed a short in the windings. You may have to replace the motor. First check for loose connections and make sure the wiring going to the pump is good. Also, check the start capacitor, should be under the hump or under the end cover on the motor. If it's bloated or leaking, it's bad.
Most likely the winding have a direct short.
