Had a different tablet that was a kids tablet
was told by a seller/ retailer that it was impossible to replace the battery.
However I figured out how to open up tablet and purchased a replacement battery on line and fixed tablet.
hardest part was figuring how to open tablet ...
If you really don't have the skills to repair modern electronics, please don't try to open the tablet. You won't be able to open it in the first plase, without damaging the tablet. I think a technician, should be able to remove the sim, if it can be opened, with a pair of fine tweezers. But again, please don't try this yourself.
You have to watch that the buttons don't fall out of place when you open it. So use a strip of masking tape to hold them in place before you open the case.
To open the tablet it snaps in all around. You need to insert a small screw driver between the case edge and another small screwdriver to keep prying all the way around. You can hear it when it snaps open. You may need the point of a small sharp knife first. I have opened and closed mine to get the battery number. I will be replacing mine as well. You need to solder the new battery in.
To connect up a tablet with a laptop you need to connect them with a USB cable.
On plugging in the cable with the tablet powered up, you should see two things.
1. A question on the tablet as to whether you want to use memory disc mode or diagnostic(ADB) mode. Choose Memory disc mode.
2. You should see on the PC laptop it recognise that an external device is connected, it may recognise it as a phone or a memory drive.
If neither of these things is happening it is probably the cable at fault.
The tablet should then start providing the pc laptop with the drivers it requires to be recognised. If this does not happen, then the fault is with the tablet and you have to consult your supplier.
You should end up with at least one memory drive which you can browse through with the PC's file manager. The data will be on the tablet.
Just open your tablet's wifi function, at the same time, open your home's wireless network, then use tablet to search for home wireless, and get connected if it's found.
