I assume you have onboard audio.
**Also assume you have it enabled in BIOS/CMOS. Verify this please.
Assuming you have Windows, too.
Go to device mgr and see if the audio chipset is identified. If not, then downdoad a manual from the mobo maker and keep it.
Once you know the make, model and revision of the mainboard, the latest audio driver can be had from the manufacturer.
Make a new folder somewhere handy and name it audio. Put the downloaded file in here and open it up. An installer should take off, or it will need unzipped. Put the files in the audio folder to avoid propagating 1200 files on your desktop :-). There MAY be a setup or install in the decompressed files that you have to run.
If it simply unzips files then go back to dev mgr and re-install driver, pointing it to your new audio folder.

If you've added a pci soundcard, the onboard audio should be disabled in BIOS to avoid possible resource conflicts.

Repost if you need more detailed info.

Hope this is of some help.

I am formate my pc after sound device is not work

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.
Thumbs up please if this works for you, thanks.

LGA 775 CPU was installed right, but after formating, I cannot install the audio driver from the '' Intel 945PL Chipset Support CD Rev.162.01 ''. So my PC is now non-sound..

re-install the chipset driver.
Than try the soundcard driver restart and than the rest of drivers.
Restart after every installation.
