SOURCE: ice tray stuck
Hi My Samsung freezer was nor a RB2155 it is a RS2630SH however after not making any ice because the tray was stuck in the upside down position or thereabout after 6 weeks it suddenly started making ice again, we had not done anything to it but we heard it dropping ice one evening and we had a look in the ice container and low and behold the ice box was full to the top, I would still like to know why it went like that in the first place in case it happens again it is a mystery. SOURCE: Ice maker doesn't work
Help, help , help, Please.
I have one of the REFRIGERATOR MODEL: RS267LASH made by SAMSUNG about two years old.
For the past few months, I found that all of the accumulated ice in my ice maker had slightly melted and re-froze together, causing the spiral coil to lock into place. I had to pick at the ice in order to free the bucket from the freezer and completely remove all the ice.
It looks like the ice tray fills with water but doesn't turn over sometimes to empty the ice out. When more water is added to make more ice is dispensed into the tray and it overflows down into the bucket, out the chute and all down underneath the ice tray.

Sound like the problem may be a gear broken or damaged in the module which appears to be replaceable in your model. If you can dissasemble it enough to inspect the gears you may can replace the part instead of the entire ice maker. It looks like the motor may be in part 18 on this diagram. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=RS2630WW&productCategoryId=0165000&brandId=1482&modelName=SAMSUNG-REFRIGERATION&diagramPageId=00009&componentDescription=ICE%20MAKER&documentId=M0612092&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list
