How can I clean the gray fabric covering speakers?

I have tried several things but have a couple stains from the kids that will not come out. I would like to take the cover off and spray it good with the hose but not sure if it's possible.

Re: How can I clean the gray fabric covering speakers?

The cover should be held on by 1/4" hex head screws, you can use a 1/4" nut driver to remove them, I dont know if they are 2 on the bottom or 6 from behind on the sides. then the fun of trying to clean the stains? maybe some hydrogen peroxide?

Screen that covers speakers has a stain on it. How do I replace the screen I want to purchase a screen and change it out.

you local service center can usually get you a part, as long as its available. you can try to pop off the grille and clean with water, maybe take outside and blast it with a hose, not a perfect fix but might improve your situation.

I have a toshiba 50inch rear progetion tv. I was

There is one mirror inside. It is easy to remove the front plastic screen by removing the bottom fabric grill (snaps off by pulling outward like a removable speaker grill). Remove several wood screws along bottom edge of screen. Lift up the whole plastic screen frame and pull it away from the TV; but be careful with the control wires that go to the center panel, which snaps off the big screen frame easily. The mirror is right there.

Hitachi 51UWX20B spider web like lines help

I know my response is a while after you asked, but to clean the inside of the tv case is pretty simple.

Remove the bottom speaker cover...on this model you just pull it off. There is no clips or screws.

Once the speaker cover is off you will see the bottom of the screen, there is 4-5 screws on the bottom on each side....I think 4 in the gray plastic and 1 in a black metal strap. With all of those screws out pull out SLIGHTLY on the screen and push up. The top is held in with a down force clamp and you are just popping it out of that....It will pop back in once you are done.

Now clean the back side of the screen, the mirror and CAREFULLY dust off the lenses. I myself did not want to use any cleaners (to avoid streaking) so I used a new microfiber dusting cloth. My picture became brighter and the "crack" that I thought I had was just a dust web....

Hope this helps and good luck

Replacing the protective panel

Im going to be replacing mine. There was a blog someplace on how to replace it, but I cant find it now. Be sure to only remove the front panel (speaker cover) and not the back because the mirrors will break.
