Question about Whirlpool GBD307PDS Electric Double Oven
I have cleaned my oven with oven pride cleaner and when i turn it on it trips the switch at the mains box.
Sounds to me like a short. Thats electrical. Now the troubleshooting. I would assume liquid got somewhere and is causing a ground loop somewhere. Thankfully your elecreical system is working as designed. Need to find that short. Possibly one of your element(s) or element connection I think is the culprit. I dont know how handy you are with electrical meters, but i would start at the elements. BE CAREFUL!!! Your messing with 220v. Nasty stuff. Me personally, I would disconnect one element at a time to find which one it is and handle it from there.

tde, sounds like your thermal fuse (TC0) opened on the back side of the oven. If this opens, it will shut the oven down. This happens alot during self cleaning on built ins. Sometimes I have to re-route the tco to a different area to prevent this from happening. Your part number is 4451442. You will have to pull the oven out far enough to remove the back paneling and replace the fuse....Catriver..post back.

Check for correct voltage at plug, in the mean time the oven will be disconnected from any power, see if it resets with no power for 10 minutes

baked control module for heating elements. if you have a volt meter, check for power when oven on, if no juice its the control element, if you do get juice then its the elements

SOURCE: oven keeps tripping mains
If it is a electric oven, then the chances are it is the oven element that is causing the problem.
What is probably happening is that as the element gets hotter, the insulation resistance is breaking down, and causing the trip to operate
Hope this helps.
