Question about Honeywell Truezone HZ322 Zone Control Panel

Open Question

Heat pump I just replace my EMM-3U with a HZ322 and carrier non programable thermostat ( do not have model) with Nest 2nd Gen. I change the zone control because it went bad (for the third time in 3 years) and change the thermostat to have a better handling of the temperature. Everything worked find for 3 weeks, then the furnace fuse will blow out, after having a tech it bypass the heat pump and only the furnace is working i still went and put back the old thermostat and still the same. What i am puzzling is about the setup on the screen, and the thermostat wiring. Both Thermostat wiring: R C W1 Y1 G Zone wiring: RH-RC (with jumper) W1/E w2 (w jumper) Y1, G And O The setup on the thermostat get confusing, do I setup conventional and the jumper get the heat pump on, or heat pump with O, B or %.

SOURCE: F300E powers up in purge mode, but shuts off when heating

In the heat mode your furnace fan operates in a lower speed. when your zone panel purges it powers the G terminal in your furnace, which is high speed. You may have an airflow problem if your EAC is powered directly to an outlet, you may have a bad air pressure switch, or if the eac is wired to the furnace control board, it is mis-wired..more info needed.

Overheating

After replacing or refurnish engines head is recommended to replace water pump and inspect thermostat, radiator, and cooling fan. Most of the time engines overheat is because there is not enough water circulation thru the head due to malfunctioning water pump, radiator, thermostat and or radiator's cooling fan. By just fixing the damaged head you may not be solving the problem that originally burned your head gasket.

Might be dust in the thermostat. Filters might be dirty. I would call a service man before the house burns down!

New a/c - furnace installed, no instruction manual, it is 23 degrees outside, and I have no idea how to turn on heat instead of a/c. Need thermostat instructions.

Usually just put the thermostat fan on auto, the a/c heat switch to heat and set the temperature where you want it. If it's a gas furnace, you will need to light the pilot. Usually instructions are on the furnace door, maybe inside furnace door.

Where is thermostat located on 2004 suburban

I'm not an expert but I have changed a few thermostats in my time on different cars and most times the stat is located where the top coolent hose come off the radiator and goes into the engine thats where the thermostat should be and dependeing on the location it should only take about 15 min to change depending on your skill, hopefully that helps you.But if it is behaving like you mentioned it might be your water pump going bad , I just went through a simular problem.

Make sure the filter is clean, then could be a dirty, or faulty thermocouple. If you can ,check the thermocouple,or call 2 or 3 companies to see what they charge to check and clean your unit.

Evcon Model EB15B Elements glow red for 3 minutes then cycles off. Fan stays off during the cycles. Manual fan switch will turn on the fan. Assistance requested, cls

the fan has to be on while the strips are on. knowing that the fan comes on when you switch it to on at the thermostat but not when your just calling for heat indicates that you have somting wrong with the heating relay or the fan isnt wired properly to the heating relay (posssibly a new motor during the summer) or just a bad relay. when the first stage heat comes on it should also energize the motor the first to come on is also the last to shut off which will make sure the fan runs during the whole heating cycle. until you remedy this you can run the heat just keep the fan switch set to on so its running, this will not hurt anything

I replaced a Lennox DSL-450LX heat pump thermostat with a Honeywell RTH3100C. Everything works except the gas does not ignite when set to emergency heat. The Lennox was wired as follows: W = white wire Y1...

Hi, If indeed you do have a heat pump, there wouldn't be any gas involved as a heat pump runs on freon with a reversing valve and heat strips for aux and emerg. heat. For gas electric operation thermostat terminals are rc to rh with factory jumper. Red wire to either.W to W for Heat, Y to Y for cooling G to G for Fan. If you have a blue, you wont need it unless this is a commercial stat useing a common for the Led lights on the stat. The unit will get its 24volts through R terminal in combination with y,w,and,g. Cant be a heat-pump if you have a gas furnace.Wrong t-stat. You need a gas /elect stat. And on a 24volt programmable t-stat, the batterys are used for the program only.If the batterys die, than you will loose the program on most residential stats. On commercial stats with the common in play, when batters die the stat defaults back to the factory settings. If you had a Lennox heat-pump stat on a gas/elect unit, you need to change it. Someone was using what they had on hand. Let me know if this has helped you.I will be here if you need me. Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
