Question about BenQ MP610 Multimedia Projector
When I turn on my BenQ MP721c, it goes through the start sequence (power light flashing green) but bulb does not illuminate. It then does the shut down sequence (power light flashing orange). After that, the 3 lights come on for a second (as if power cord was just plugged in) and it goes through the 2 sequences again (bulb never comes on). Then the power light comes on orange while at the same time the Lamp light comes on Red. Then unit goes back to standby mode (as when normally powered off). The unit was manufactured in March of 2007 and I bought it in May of 2007. Only about half the estimated life hours on the bulb. Is this just a bad bulb? How can you tell if the bulb is bad? I removed the bulb and used an ohm meter to measure the two connections. Could not measure anything (open). Should I be able to measure some resistance across the two bulb connections? Appreciate any reply. Thanks.
The bulb blew out. go to office depot and buy a replacement. this will fix the issue.
