Dos your machine sometimes continue to fill Fl could be LF I have seen the codes pop up different than the tech sheet anyway LF is a long fill wish I could tell you the exact location of the service manual WP always moves it try on the inside of the bottom panel first if not there look inside might be mounted on wall a few times located under top panel read it it will explain how to place machine into diagnostic usually on LF the unit is draining slow or the black hose that leads to the pressure switch has popped loose a rubbed against basket pulley causing a small hole in the rubber this will give a LF error hope this helps
The code definition for LF is a LONG Fill (F30). What does that mean is the next question? Here goes.
a. The fill hose may have a pinch or fold between the connections on the pressure in .
b. Are the hose screens plugged at the connections.
c. Is the water siphoning out of the drain hose ?
d. Is the water pressure at peak, check valve, filters before washer.
I did pretty good from memory but that link leads you to a printout you can keep right by your washer. Most of the occurrences are easy to fix without a technician. Hope this makes your day. Better. Fare. Well.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The inflatable restraint side impact module-LF deployment loop consists of the inflatable restraint side impact module-LF, the inflatable restraint side impact module wiring harness, and the side impact module-LF high and low circuits. A shorting bar used within the side impact module-LF connector shorts together the side impact module-LF high and low circuits when the connector is disconnected. This helps to prevent unwanted deployment of the inflator module during servicing. During a side or frontal crash of sufficient force the inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) allows current to flow through the deployment loop in order to deploy the side impact module-LF. When the ignition is turned ON, the SDM performs continuous diagnostic tests on the deployment loops to check for proper circuit continuity and for shorts to ground or voltage. If a malfunction is detected, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be stored in memory.
CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
Ignition 1 voltage is within the normal operating voltage range.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
DTC B0040 will set when the side impact module-LF deployment loop resistance is less than 1.3 ohms for 500 milliseconds .
DTC B0041 will set when one of the following conditions occurs:
Side impact module-LF high circuit is less than 2.4 volts and the side impact module-LF deployment loop is more than 6 ohms for 500 milliseconds .
Side impact module-LF deployment loop resistance is more than 4.8 ohms for 500 milliseconds .
DTC B0045 will set when one of the following conditions occur:
Side impact module-LF high and/or low circuits is short to ground or short to voltage for 500 milliseconds .
Side impact module-LF high circuit is less than 2.4 volts and side impact module-LF deployment loop resistance is less than 6 ohms for 500 milliseconds .
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The SDM commands the AIR BAG indicator ON via Class 2 serial data.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists and the scan tool Clear DTCs function is used.
A history DTC will clear once 255 malfunction free ignition cycles have occurred.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
The following are possible causes of the malfunction:
A short between the side impact module-LF high and low circuits
An open or a high resistance in the side impact module-LF high or low circuits
A short to ground or a short to voltage in the side impact module-LF high or low circuits
LF (F30) LF flashes when the control don't sense any water coming in like it is supposed to do. Things to check: Hoses connected; water turned wide open. Hose screens plugged. Is water siphoning out due to having the drain hose too low? (30 inches above the floor) Pressure hose from tub to control loose, pinched, hole, Sediment in tub? Blow that tubing out and re-secure; retry with water OUT of tub so the pressure can properly build in that tubing. Bravos codes and service manual HERE
mean while LF error code indicates that the water temperature sensor reading is out of range (below 23 degrees F or above 217 degrees F).
The LFerror code is an indication of a water
temperature sensor error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire
connection on the water temperature
however, what you need to do tp fix up the problem is to unscrew the
washer then clean up all forms of dry and water you can seen in it with
this the problem of the LF error code is solve .
please make sure that all form of power supply is put OFF before you can do this
lf code means long fill. If the water fill time exceeds 10 minutes, the water valves are turned off and lf is flashed. Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
6-1 DIAGNOSTICS & TROUBLESHOOTING DISPLAY FAULT / ERROR CODES DISPLAY (Saved Code) EXPLANATION AND RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE (F30) Long Fill LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change. • Is water supply connected and turned on? • Are hose screens plugged? • Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control. • See TEST #2.
Have same problem. Service tech said LF code is caused by low water pressure coming into machine. Tech verified water flow looked fine, getting new controller installed tomorrow.
