After you place the stack of bills into the slot, each bill is mechanically pulled through the machine. There is a laser beam, and each time the laser is interrupted by the passing of a bill, it registers it (counts it). The machine also uses pattern recognition criteria to differentiate between bills of different denomination

Change PC Drum Message on Bizhub362.How do you resset this message?

You are going to need to call your service company and have them replace the drum unit for you. Don't listen to anyone that gives you the service mode entry procedure and drum count reset. This WILL screw up the AIDC (Automatic Image Density Control) and the machine will shut down with a COF32 code. There is a very specific procedure which must be followed when replacing/resetting the drum counter on these machines as there are several "counts" that are tied together. Trust me on this as a 27 year Minolta Tech, spend the money and have the drum unit replaced. They are good for 100,000 copies so even tho it may cost some money to do. Divide that cost by 100,000 pages and it gets pretty cheap.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Wall mounting Philips 32PFL6704D/F7

First of all a standard screw will not work. You will have to visit your local hardware store and purchase a machine screw to fix the problem. In many cases you will have to use an estimated guess and gamble your time and money. The length and width of the machine screw will be found at this store. The effort is miniscule and money will be meager. Remember, do not use a standard screw!

Money Counts program will not print checks

The issue appears to be with the configuration file in the money counts directory ( I think moneycounts.cfg) if you delete this file, money counts will recreate it on startup and you can select a printer for printing checks which will work. Should you change printer names or printers in the future, you may need to repeat this procedure.

B&W Xerox copier XC23 has code J7 and will not print

There is a chip on the back of the drum unit that keeps count. It cannot be reset. You may try to find a replacement chip on the internet. I would recomment the They have good products. I do not know how long your drum will last, you may end up having to replace it for copy quality problems at some point.

This one will cost money, sorry. Inkjet machines periodically clean their nozzles by squirting ink through them, and in the MFC 420 that ink is collected an pumped into big plastic box filled with thick, felt pads. The machine counts how much ink has been squirted into there, and at a certain count refuses to clean it's nozzles (or print) anymore. You need to replace the "Ink Absorber Box," which is only maybe $15, but getting the machine torn down to that point will require a technician. Find your nearest Brother service Center on
