Question about Vizio P50HDTV10A 50 in. Plasma HDTV
I believe i have fell victim to the pop of death, as i pulled the back of the tv panel off, i located the y-sustain board, z-sustain, pcb, and power board. i replaced the ceramic fuse on the power board and replaced both fuses on the y-sustain. and tryed again, no luck. i noticed on the pcb that when the power cord is plugged in to the tv D2, D3, D4, D5 flash real fast then go out. when i press the power button, none of those lights come on. then i unplug the large cord going from the power supply to the y-sustain and hit the power button and notice on the pcb that D5 flashes real quick, and D3 and D4 are now constantly lit and D2 is never on, i'm also able to measure the correct voltages on the y-sustain board and z-sustain board. but as soon as i plug the big cord in from the power supply to the y-sustain board all and power everything on again i'm unable to measure any voltages on any parts of the boards. any help would be greatly appreciated
fyi - the big cord i was talking about is labeled :
and is located between both 4 amp fuses.
I had this problem with a different brand plasma and it turned out to be cracked or missing solder on the power board lead to y sustain. I removed the power board, desoldered the connection, clean it up and then resoldered the connection. Everything works great now.
