Ran out of oil,and when we press the reset button the hot water boiler won't come on

When you run out of oil,you usually need to bleed the pump. The pump has what looks like a brake bleed fitting sticking up off it.
Do not start the burner until after you've bled the pump and cleaned up any spill of oil. don-ohio

No running hot water in house.

These have a photoelectric eye , much the same as a motion sensor on an outside lamp, just pull this out, clean with a wet wipe, dry with a towel & replace, press the reset switch & your boiler should fire up producing lovely hot water

I need to turn the temperature down on my Hydrotherm oil-fired burner. How do I do that?

On the front of the unit on the upper right is a grey box. Remove cover. Inside there should be a notched steel dial to adjust the water temperature.
Hope this helps.

The boiler stopped twice during a week. The reset button was pressed whenever to start the boiler again(twice during a week). Is it abnormal? Does the reset button need to be replaced?

Good Question!-- Let's see if we can figure this out--

What kind of fuel are we talking about? - Gas or Oil?

Any clue as to WHY the boiler stops?--
Can you see a water level, or a temperature or a pressure setting/ gauge?
Tell us what some of these readings are--

If it is gas-- how does ignition take place?-- Spark, or ignitor ignition?

Where is the Reset button?-- is it on the burner control-- or the water level control?

Tell us more--

Ran out of oil, now refilled, but boiler won't ignite. Tried all as owners manual instructs, but still keeps locking out - help please

After running out of fuel, you need to bleed the oil pump on your burner. There should be a 3/8 bleed port on the bottom of your burner pump. The bleeder valve looks like a nipple. A 3/8 opened end will fit over it.Put a can or cup under it,open it a bit and reset your control.when pure oil comes out close it and burner will fire.If your not good with it you should get a tech or handy man to do it.

How do i reset my boiler after having oil delivered, it ran out 2 days aggo just had 1000 litres delivered how do i getr the boiler up and running again????

While standing in front of the oil burner, on the left side you will see the fuel pump. On the bottom corner towards you, you will see a bleeder screw. If you put a cup or other vessel under this screw, loosen the screw, then hit the reset button it will start to push oil out the bleeder. Once the oil comes out a clear red liquid, close the bleeder screw and the unit should fire up. Hope this helps

Keeps triping out on LOCK OUT on the pannel

Have a service tech replace the nozzle, filter and strainer on the burner. Tell him to check the cad-cell eye as well.

My boiler will not reset and the green light keeps flashing

The nozzle on the burner is probably clogged. Have a service tech who is qualified look at the burner. Pressing the reset button repeatedly will fill up the chamber with oil and create a dangerous situation.
