Hi,
The thermocouple is weak and does not hold the gas vlave on.
To get it to work right you need to change the thermocouple.
That is the metal rod that the pilot flame is hitting.

We have braeburn 1020 and we live in arizona where it has been 116 degrees or higher. The thermostat changed itself to 90 and will not adjust. AC will not come on at all. It has new batteries.

Turn power off to air handler. Remove red, green and yellow wires from tstat and wire nut together. Turn power back on. This should bring on condenser and blower. Let run and be sure it's working. If all is working you will know the tstat is bad.

I have a Braeburn 3200 and when the the temperature reaches the desired heat setting. The furnaces heat will shut off, but the fan will continue to run indefinetly. eventually blowing very cold air up

The fan relay is stuck in the on position. When the temperature drops the heater does not ignite because the fan is already running and ignition is locked out after the heat cycle starts an the fan turns on

Need to know to replace themostat in 2004

Drain the radiator, follow the top radiator hose to the engine, it is connected to the thermostat housing. Loosen and remove the two bolts, lift the housing and remove thermostat, make sure the new thermostat goes back in the exact same way, tighten bolts, make sure pepcock is closed on radiator, refill radiator, start engine, run heater on full blast, add coolant as needed.

How do i change thermostadt on jeep cherokee

  1. Follow your upper raidator hose untill you find the themostat housing which is the ending point for the hose.
  2. Remove the two bolts that hold the housing (you may have to loosen the belt to get to one of the bolts).
  3. Remove housing and replace themostat and gasket ( remove any excess gasket that may have been left over ).
THE DETAILED PROCEDURE IS GIVEN BELOW
  1. Open draincock on the radiator to drain the coolant from your Jeep Grand Cherokee. This draincock is located on the lower right side facing the rear of your Cherokee.
  2. Use a sealable container and reuse the coolant if it is relatively new and clean.
  3. Follow the upper radiator hose to the point where it meets the thermostat housing. The thermosat is located inside the housing.
  4. Use a clamp tool or vise-grip pliers to loosen the clamp holding the hose to the housing. Work the end of the radiator hose free of the thermostat housing.
  5. Remove two bolts holding on the thermostat housing cover. Pull off the cover.
  6. Take note of the position of the old thermostat. Remove and install the new thermostat in exactly the same position.
  7. Scrape off residue of the old thermostat gasket from the inside of the thermostat housing cover using a razor blade. Avoid getting any debris inside the thermostat housing.
  8. Install the new gasket. Reattach the thermostat housing cover and radiator hose. Start your Jeep and run the heater on high. Allow the engine to warm up. Check for leaks.

Honeywell CT200A thermostat battery will not recharge.

Yes the battery charge circuit is burned out, you might as well replace the thermostat, parts will not be made to fix it unless it is still under warranty.
