Drainhole location on my Whirlpool 2004 freezer top frig?

I've got some pooling of water inside the frig and I'm thinking the drainhole might be plugged, but I can't find the hole. Help, anyone? Or is there some other solution?

This will happen again, you need to install a heat probe to the defrost heater and have it protrude into the drain hole, You can get this probe at any appliance repair parts outlet, or use a piece of aluminum wire

Common issue.....sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine

Just above the drawers is a drain hole on the back wall. Push a drinking straw or very thin brush down to unblock the drainhole and the water will drain away outside the rear into a pan on top of the compressor

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain through then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the centeroldtech2332_52.jpg

I have an Electrolux Refrigerator FRT18B4AWA and it is leaking all over the floor. Temp holds good but the leaking won't stop. How to I fix it.

The most common cause is ice built up and plugged the drainhole as not defrosting Auto in time. Unplug the power de-ice. Locate the drain hole. Insert soft wire or cordto clear drain Open back of fridge. Locate drain tube and pan. And checkinserted wire or cord is coming out. Gently shake wires and pull out. That'sall. Now Drain tube is cleared. And also empty the drain pan, if water is huge to condensate.

There is ice built up on the freezer side. The ice is on the floor of the unit. How can I prevent this?

Behind the back wall of the freezer there is a defrost drainhole that is clogged. You will need to clear this drain so water from cols during defrost can drain to the pan by the compressor. Use a hair dryer and finish off with 1 cup very very very hot water to open completly . Hope this helps.

Every few weeks the ice in my freezer melts. It

You will need to remove the bottom freezer crisper and check the defrost drain , to see if it is iced over . If so , then use a hairdryer to melt the ice ( hot water also helps ) . When you see the drain , ( could be obvious obstruction from plastic ) , use a small hose inserted into the hole , to blow thru , to remove any unseen debris blockage .
You may have to remove the rear inside freezer panel to access this drain , depending on your model number . So make sure the drainhole is open. When it happened to mine this was the problem.

Water dripping from bottom of freezer casing

Your drain line is frozen. Ice thawed by the heater in the freezer normally drains down a tube into a pan on top of the compressor, where it evaporates from compressor heat. If the drain freezes the water runs into the freezer bottom instead of the tube then into your fridge. To solve this remove everything from your freezer and remove the access panel in the back or bottom depending on your model of fridge. Turn off or unplug the appliance. Upon removing the panel(s). you will likely see that the bottom of the freezer is full of ice. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to thaw ice and remove. In the very back bottom you will uncover the drainhole. I usually use very hot water and a shop vac to thaw the drain hole. When you finally clear it you will hear water running into the pan on top of the compressor. Somethimes it takes a lot of hot water to clear the drain. Hope this helps!
