I see that you are having trouble with the control lock feature on your Frigidaire dishwasher. I would be happy to assist you with unlocking the dishwasher. In order to provide you accurate assistance I would need your model number. You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside left hand wall of your dishwasher. I look forward to helping you out. -Matt
There are a couple of things that you should include in your dishwasher repair question when you ask it on FixYa.com
1. Model Number
The model number can be located on the model/serial number tag that is located on the dishwasher.
Make sure you get the full model number from this tag and not the model number from the owners manual.
The model number from the owners manual only includes the first few digits of the full model number because they include that owners manual with many similar models of dishwashers.
With the full model number I'm able to look up factory service manuals, tech sheets, wiring diagrams, factory service pointers and so much more.
2. Detailed description of the problem
At the very least give a brief description of the problem you are having with your dishwasher.
Descriptions like 'My dishwasher don't work' is not very helpful.
Describe what is not working. For example is the dishwasher not filling with water? Maybe the dishwasher is full of water but it will not pump the water out?
The more details you can give the better. Instead of saying 'The dishwasher will not pump the water out' you could go into more detail and say something like...
"My dishwasher starts ok and seems to run fine, but at the end of the cycle when I went to take the dishes out there was still about a inch of water left in the bottom. I also noticed the the dishes did not get very clean, especially the glasses in the top dish rack."
Following these couple tips can help you get a faster and more accurate reply to your dishwasher repair question.
Based off the information you have provided you need the operating manual for your Frigidaire dishwasher. In order to provide you proper information I would need to have your model number. You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside left hand of your dishwasher tub. With that information I look forward to assisting you further. -Matt
Look up the make, model, serial number on your dishwasher. If it is not on the inside of the door, you will have to pull the dishwasher out of its slot to get the information from the back of it. Write it down then go on-line and look up the dealer for your make, model, serial number. You can buy a user manual from the dealer or download it for free from the dealers website.
The serial number is usually located somewhere around the door opening. The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured (52 weeks in a year). The second DIGIT in the serial represents the YEAR it was manufactured.
If you have difficulty determining the manufacture date, please post back with your serial number and I will assist you. I hope you find this information helpful.
