Can't send e-mail in yahoo.

I keep getting this message when I try to send an e-mail with my Yahoo account: Suspicious activity has been detected on your account. To protect your account and our users, your message has not been sent. If this error continues, please contact Yahoo! Customer Care for further help.

I have contacted Customer Care three time via their online forms, but no one has gotten back to me. I have already tried to change my password and clear the cookies and cache, but it didn't help.

Please help!

Hi, make sure you are logging in the real yahoo website. Make sure the address bar in the browser says .yahoo.com
When did this start coming up?
Check the "sent folder" if someone has sent any suspicious mails from your account...

Some internet companies will lock your account if you have sent out an unusually high volume of emails. This is to prevent spamming. If you haven't been sending an unusually high number of emails someone may have hacked your account. You will need to contact Yahoo to get this issue resolved.

Hello

To how many recipients did you try to send your email? Chances are Yahoo Mail automatically suspected your account as a spammer account. You need to wait 24-48 before you can send messages again.

Hi! I keep getting this message when I try to

1. I think you are getting this message because some of the Yahoo! Mail users has declared your e-mails as "SPAM"!

2. Thats why you are not allowed to send any more mails to anybody!

3. You should contact the Yahoo! support for the solution of this problem!

When I try to send e'mails it comes back saying there is suspicious activity. Started yesterday am, still not working. First time I have had a problem. Its thru Yahoo

Hi,

About your problem:

Usually YA issues this message when your e-mail account may have been hijacked and used for spamming. To find the spamming source and to make sure that it isn't you causing this, Yahoo has to temporarily shut down your mail account. During the suspension, you have access to all email in your inbox, personal folders and sent folder, and to your mail options. You will not be able to send or receive mail or save any drafts. Email sent to your account will bounce back to the sender.

Other probable causes

#1: Somebody may have tried to enter your account without being authorized, and he may have tried to do so a couple of times. After a couple of failed attempts to open your mail account, Yahoo also temporarily shuts it down for security measures. In some cases a user may not even try to get into your account, but he may want to cause trouble for you - he just knows that after a couple of seemingly unauthorized attempts to enter your account, Yahoo shuts it down for a couple of days. Often an automated program is used for this which can send more than 1000 requests a minute. The Yahoo servers detect that a human can't be behind such attempts and presto, the account is shut down.

What you can do is go to: http://login.yahoo.com/config/login . After your first try you'll probably get a failure message, but when you try again, you'll see a captcha link. Only real life people could handle this correctly, spambots can't read it. If you are lucky, you may be able to enter your account at this point.

#2: If you send large amounts of mail, even if it is for non-profit organizations, Yahoo may close your account temporarely because their program can't tell the difference between a supposed spammer and a real one.

Summary: if the login hack doesn't work, wait a little, a suspension usually lasts about 48 hrs. If you then still can't get in, go to this online help form and describe your problem:

or

or call Yahoo! Customer Service: 1-408-349-1572

Hope i helped you.

I can't send out emails sometimes.

This issue can be as a result of someone else other than you using your account, or it can be related to the emails you have sent or received recently.

According to the Yahoo! help information, when this occurs you should check to see if there is any suspicious activity on your email account. Also, change your Yahoo! email account password, just in case.

These messages will generally stay for around 48 hours, or two days. If you have received or sent many emails with attachments lately, remove some of them from your inbox or sent folder.

Also, try clearing your cache and cookies on your browser. This can be done by going to Tools -> Delete Browsing History... in Internet Explorer, or Tools -> Clear Private Data in Firefox.

Hope this is of help to you. Don't forget to rate this solution, and have a great evening!

Suspicious Activity on Yahoo Email Account

Most probably, someone is using your account to send spam mail.
First and foremost, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY. Use a strong password - with letters, numbers, symbols and long enough to make it difficult to guess. Also, notify Yahoo of the problem.
Still, it may take a while before Yahoo "white-lists" you again.
All the best.

I keep getting an error message from yahoo when I send an email stating they suspect suspicious activity. I do have 2 accounts I go back and forth to wuite frequently

If you send emails in large amounts they suspect you as a spammer so if you are doing that don't send to so many people at one time. If that does not work try contacting their customer support. This is the link to them you just have to log in and follow it till you can send them a email or live support.
