Here is one site that sells the motherboard:

http://www.pcfactoryoutlet.com/Moreinfo.asp?StoreID=9&Product_Id=69342

Also look at:

http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=105552++gateway&scoring=p

They are kinda expensive, at least $150

Get a new motherboard Asus A8n-LA http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=207999853&listingid=28062318&dcaid=17902
Even comes with an intergrated video card like your old motherboard. If you have seprate video card, go with a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, its allot better.

You can also call valuerecovery.com they will repair it for $55. There is a chip under the heat sink that goes out. I just had the same thing happen to me for the second time. I googled and found a new motherboard through tigerdirect part search. There is also a place in Wis. called KamCom.com were you can purchase refurbished boards. Hope this helps.

I would try to look on e-bay for a replacement motherboard. One thing that might help is to replace the power supply, also. Although I've never had to do this to make the problem go away, it would be the next best thing to having to replace it a third time.

Good luck

My computer time and date keeps resetting itself to a different time. I'm connected to the internet but that is all. Why does it do this?

the clock microchip inside you motherboard is run by a small lithium battery model # CR2032 ( the size of a small coin) this is embeded in the motherboard, this can be replaced with a new one by removing the PC's cover and looking for it on the motherboard .....once replaced the clock can be re-set to the current time....once the machine displays the Desktop screen....

Hi,
Inspect the memory slot carefully. If there are are bent pins in the slot , you can probably align them with a pointed tip. Otherwise the best option would to replace the motherboard. Because after the process RAM is the fastest component in the computer. Out of experience in repairing the motherboards ,i recommend to replace the motherboard.

it sounds like your computer power supply went bad.
go to your local computer store and buy a power supply, install it and you should be up and running.

that is if you didn't fry everything from running it without the proper cooling.

make sure that you have proper cooling fans in your computer, a fan outside will not do it.
It sounds like your power supply fan stopped working and it just got to hot and died

Gateway Gt 5220 computer powers on but will not boot

It's either the video card, memory, or motherboard.

I had the same problem with one of my desktop's. It ended up being the motherboard. Had to turn the computer on and off, on and off until eventually it would power on.

I'd start with reseating the memory and video card. Is your video onboard?

Let me know what happens and I'll keep throwing ideas your way.

Best of luck!
