Hi there,

Initially try to unplug the unit and plug it again, while holding/pressing the eject button on the player.

if the above procedure has no success, if your familiar with the device the only way to correct it is to open the unit cover, and remove any stuck cd, object inside.,

Thanks

If there is a disk inside, you need to press repeatedly the eject button on the unit, while you restart it at the same time.

Do this a couple of times.

If that does not work, or there is no disk iside, the unit must be taken apart , to access the mechanics and see what is locking them.

The assembly is faulty .
tep1bose 321 cd/dvd tray stuck closed - 10006485b_thumb.jpgThe small hole is where the paper clip can be inserted. If the drive will not eject your disc u may need to do it manually.

Take the paper clip and bend one corner so it is straight. This becomes a poking device that can be inserted in the small round hole in the front of the drive. This hole is known as the emergency eject. Step2Slide the straightened portion of the paper clip into the ejector hole on the drive and push gently as you push in the drive tray should pop out. When the drive tray extends outward, gently pull it out and remove the disc. Step3The tray can be closed by gently pushing the tray back into the drive or if the drive has power to it you can press the open close button.

Slightly press it and try to eject. If not, open the cover and do it manually.

How to open a door of a dvd drive from a pc
There is a mechanical eject hole on the optical drive. Simply insert the tip of a
pen or paperclip into the hole and push to eject the tray. (If your computer's
optical drive is a slot-load model, it will not have an eject hole.)

When I press the Eject Button on the Bose 321 DVD Player the tray does not open up. I can hear the sound as if trying to open

normal issues with cd/dvd trays - gear/rubber of the tray transport worn out.

manytimes it helps if you always keep a cd/dvd in the tray (don't keep the tray empty)

it may also help if you can keep the bose 321 vertical.

CD stuck in disk tray of (original) BOSE 321

NO NEED TO TEAR APART OR REPLACE THE UNIT! JUST TURN OFF THE UNIT, LEAN IT FORWARD AND A LITTLE DOWNWARD AND HIT THE LOAD BUTTON AND IT WILL OPEN. THAT'S THE TRICK!

DVD/CD door stuck on Bose 3 2 1

On the 321 systems turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the bass module. Wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. Then, simply hit the "stop/eject" button on the media center itself (do not turn it on first)..this should release the tray unless there is a mechanical failure inside the tray mechanism itself.

Thanks to Matthew O;Neil for the the tip,...Italo

On a Lifestyle system with a tray that won't open, try this: Turn off the power to the system and unplug the power cord to the back of the media center itself. Wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. Then, simply hit the "open/close" button on the media center itself (do not turn it on first)..this should release the tray unless there is a mechanical failure inside the tray mechanism itself.

If this does not work, then call Bose when you are home with the system at 800-367-4008.
