Did this just happen or were you tinkering with it. Eliminate all connections between the incoming signal and TV. Hook it up straight to the TV. If you are ok then go step by step with your components to reach sound.
I presume you are connecting to the RCA lines in front of the tv. If so you can try Channel 90 = Video 1 (When using the S-Video Input) Channel 91 = Video 1 (When using the Composite Video Input) Channel 92 = Video 2
OR try pushing 00 and then you can channel up or down.
There is no power button on the remote, you have TV and VCR only to turn on this set. I need to find out how to do a factory reset. I was using a roku TV device on it, and was working fine, and now nothing. I tested the TV by putting in a cassette, and hooking it up to my satellite service, works fine doing that. But now no roku, and the roku was also tested and works fine.
I had the same problem and I finally got in touch with Samsung and they told me that it must be something with the satellite receiver or Tivo box I have connected to the TV, since the sound was working in DVD mode. I reset both DirecTV receiver and Tivo box and now the sound is working again. I guess I should have done them one at a time so I'd know which one caused the problem. But, give it a try, it might work for you, too.
You might've done this already, but first I would try the "Magic Focus" The button can be found all the way to the left of the buttons panel on the tv itself. If that has no effect, try playing around with the settings within the tv. Click menu on the remote and see what happens when you try settings like color, balance, and contrast.
