Missing mouse driver

Hi, I recently had a bad virus on my pc, I took it to a tech guy who fixed everything. But some how he removed my ps2 mouse driver and put usb instead. How can I put the ps2 mouse driver back on my pc?
Thank you for any assistance with this.

You can try add remove hardware under control panel and if that does not work Most of the drivers I get are from a web site driverguide.com you need
to fill out a free registration then search for the driver you need
download it in a format you can use install it and then most times
    reboot the computer

You should be able to download the driver from the support section of your mouse manufacturers website. Hope this helps.

Hi,
If you are using PS2 port, you can try using usb type keyboard and mouse just to check I/O system.

You can also boot to "Safe Mode" by pressing F8, F10, F2..depending on the brand of pc you are using. If the mouse and keyboard work in Safe Mode, then you are having a software problem. In this case, you can try either of the following options.
- scan for virus, malware or spyware
- obtain windows updates
- reinstall the operating system
- try to do registry editing (it is advisable to back up everything before performing this step, just reinstall the operating system if you are not comfortable of performing this step)

I hope this helps.

It stopped working, I replaced batteries and still doesn't work

One of two things are happening. The mouse has gone bad, or one of it's driver files is corrupt. Optional:(Run your anti-virus program on the drive containing the mouse drive).

Unistall the Logitech Mouseware by using the Add or Remove Programs in the Control panel. Plug in your mouse via the PS2 and reboot. When back up, windows should use the default PS2 driver. If it works, or if not, go ahead and re-install you mouse, but do not install all the other junk Logitech wants you to install.

You may even consider downloading the updated driver from Logitech for the new install.

After rebooting my cpu my mouse stopped working. My cpu does not recognize my mouse? The mouse works because i tried it on a different cpu. what can be causing this?

Did you try to reboot?
Do you have an optical mouse? (if yes: is the red light on?
(Then the mouse is recognized and you must configure your mouse options)
Did you try to connect your USB mouse to another connector?
Or if PS2 connector: Turn of the pc and connect the mouse and power on.
Did you install a new driver? (then uninstall this driver)
Try looking for the most recent mouse driver on the manufacturer site.

Freezes evry once in awhile...don't know why or how to fix??help!:)

Lockups are caused by one of 3 things. Malware *viruses*, Bad/Missing Drivers, or heat. Run an updated virus scan first, then check your drivers, make sure everything is new. If it's not one of those, then heat build up is causing the issue. Have a tech look at the unit.

This seems to be a generic mouse, usb / ps2 connectivity. User needs to press the connect / reset button on the receaver and on mouse. generally.. no drivers or cd required.

mouse has battery.

-check battery

-reconnect (receaver and mouse, if receaver doesn't have button, make sure its connected to pc and power is on, then reset.

try ps2 instead of usb or another usb port, might require adapter. (if im not mistaken it comes with the mouse)

-try another pc

= possibly faulty mouse if still not working? It should work with windows drivers, so no cd required.
