AMD or Intel? Run CPU-Z to get the southbridge type so I can track some options for you. Also post what kind of ram ex: DDR, DDR2 etc. Video card: Model, PCI-E or AGP, and what Kind of CPU.

Upgrade your ram, and video cad. I would go with DDR2 800 4GB either OCZ or GEIL. And if you have the money dual video cards.

You can go to the Alienware website, now owned by Dell so it can also be accessed thru Dell, and under the support section you should be able to find all system specs, compatible upgrades and any manuals you need. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Rob my friend, I hope cleaning up or replacing your memory card would solve the problem. As the terminals might be dirty or corroded. Have a nice day friend !

Systemboard drivers

You have an nForce 590 SLI AM2. The only drivers available are at EVGA's website. Since you didn't say what OS you're using, here is the link. If the drivers are not at that link you must email EVGA and ask for them.

Power loss

have you folks removed/installed memory with the computer plugged in ... but not powered on ???
newer systems maintain standby power on the memory .. if you have .. you could have blown a DIMM ..
I'd remove all installed memory .. then power up and see if the systems behaviour changes .. if it does .. and your system supports it .. add a stick of memory at a time untill you recreate the problem ..

Computer will not shut down completely

Hi,
Please install a fresh copy of Windows xp or vista whatever. And install the proper and compatible drivers that should suit your motherboard. Don't install the drivers which does not support your motherboard or Operating system. Thank you...

Cant run dual channel.

You can update your chipst nVIDIA nForce4 SLi.
This is not a easy task. It requires you to download the proper drivers. nForce will do this for you by checking your current system. Click this link to nForce:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Do not update your system by doing an install. You will have to remove the current nForce devices manually through device manager. (DO NOT restart your PC untill you have replaced the nForce drivers with updated nForce software).
If you do, you'll find your going to have to do a complete reinstall of windows & you will loose your current data.
Updating your ssocket 939 will run better. Your dual channel should post after update. It was a waste searching EPoX for faq's. Couldn't even download their/your manual. Please read recommended files to help with the update, these are worth every minute. (I learned the hard way).

Good Luck & Kind Regards.
& please vote.

Without more detailed information, I really can't help you decipher that code... Since you don't know which specific Foxconn motherboard you're working with, it might be best if you contact Alienware Customer Support for detailed information:
