You need the sound driver I assume for this laptop. If it doesnt match hardware perfectly then nothing will work.
Go to vendors site with your S/N and Model number to locate the exact sound driver.
Have you checked in control panel / sound speech / sounds & audio devices / click on "sounds" blind and see if any of the sounds can be activated by clicking the big black arrow. If greyed out then the driver is not installed.
Check out either the audio drivers (start > settings > control panel > system > hardware > device manager >check for exclamation mark in front of the audio device) and update if nessersary, Or the audio mixer levels from the audio related icon at the taskbar. In case it's missing go start > settings > control panel >sound devices > mark the checkbox "volume icon at the taskbar"
After the above you will be able to hear audio from your computer but in case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

after downloading drivers,open the setup and install it to your PC.Check the sound card.the installed drivers must be suitable for your sound card.not all drivers will operate on your sound card.if still problem persists try installing vista.
