The HDMI signal says "unsupport" What does that mean?

Normally this is a problem with the HDMI cable. It is sending a garbled signal for some reason (could be a bad end connector or a broken wire in the cable) and the TV does not recognize it. The simple way to fix this is by replacing the HDMI cable. Answered from experience as I had this happen about a month ago.

I have a Jensen (JE1909ACB) 19 LCD TV Can't get it to hook up as a monitor on my desktop. It reply's unsupported mode.

Are you using the VGA port on the Jensen TV? What is your computer's OS?

The usual reason for the unsupported mode message is that the the computer did not recognize the TV as a monitor on boot up or that the previous settings were incompatible with the TV. (For example, if you previously had a CRT connected to the computer and used a refresh rate of 75 Hz, the TV can't handle the refresh rate. It needs to be set at 60 Hz.)

First turn off both the TV and the computer. Then turn on the TV and set it for the PC input (assuming you are using the VGA port). Next turn on the computer. If you have Windows XP or later, it should find the TV and set the resolution without any input. (If it doesn't, use a different monitor and set the resolution to 1366 x 768 and 60 Hz. Then try again.) If you used the HDMI port, try the VGA port. This TV doesn't understand a computer signal over the HDMI port (only set top boxes).

I hope this helps.

I have a 22" Westinghouse

Change the settings on your HDMI output to 720 progressive for resolution. The tv likely cannot handle the 1080 resolution, or the tv can only use interlaced (1080i or 720i) format.

I can not play my PS3 on HDMI "unsupported mode".

While turning the PS3 on from standby, hold down the power button until the unit beeps twice (it'll beep once right away, and again maybe 5-10 seconds later). That should reset the video output of the unit back to default, and you can go from there picking supported resolutions.

When i plug in xbox to hdmi input it reads unsupported mode

The X-Box will not work on the HDMI input on that model. Either use the Component input or the Composit input.
