We changed the battery but a small red piece of plastic fell out. It goes behind the plug-in port somehow but after much effort, we haven't been able to put it together so we can sucessfully charge it up...

The red piece is the voltage switch. It goes at the bottom of the shaver and the rectangular part will correspond to the rectangular cutout at the bottom. The copper contacts will go against the circuit board

I took a plate off the bottom of my HP 6210 to clean up as much ink that had spilled as possible. I now have a 3 pieces to put back. The gray plate, a black "L" shaped piece and a retangular white sponge...

The white rectangle goes under the cleaning station, which is the black plastic box on the right as you look from the front of the printer. It also helps for ink overflow.

Funny noise does not work rubber piece at bottom

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

The rubber piece at bottom is likely the center piece of a motor coupling. See the section on the parts list for motor and pump.
The funny noise is likely the plastic pieces of the coupler rubbing against each other.

The coupling consists of three pieces. Two of them are plastic and have prongs that slip into holes in a center rubber piece. This is a fail safe device that protects the motor and transmission.

GURU JSROCK516 Description of how to remove cabinet and access the transmission. http://www.fixya.com/support/r699497-replacing_gearcase

Remove the cabinet and pump, motor and motor mounting plate.

Pry off the plastic parts from the motor and transmission.

Slid the new plastic parts on the motor and transmission, slip the new rubber piece onto the prongs on the plastic piece on the transmission.

Replace the motor mounting plate.

Carefully line up the prongs on the plastic part attached to the motor to the three unused holes in the rubber piece and re mount the motor.

Put the pump back on and replace the cabinet.

Samsung model RF265ABPN waxy looking piece fell into ice tray

The waxy piece has a clear plastic bracket, if its not connected, look around your freezer. The waxy piece fits inside the bracket, and attaches to the ice maker, just in front of the ice tray.

The white wire fits inside the waxy piece. It is the thermostat that tells the ice tray when to dump the ice.

This is impossible to feel around for, so you will need to remove at least the bottom freezer compartment as well as the ledge piece from just inside the freezer door. If you are a relatively thin/small person, you can extend the top tray fully outward, and slide underneath. Looking up at the ice maker, the plastic bracket should have a little prong. This prong will attach just behind the ice maker, with the thermostat facing the ice tray.

Wire Hayward Super Pump for 115

If you look closely, you should see a small arrow on the black plastic piece on the terminal block(jumper). That arrow lines up with either the 115 or 230 mark on the white terminal board. Make sure it is aligned with the 115.

Then put you two line wires on. It does not matter which wire goes to line 1 and line 2, just be sure you DO NOT put them both on the same terminal. A plastic divider usually seperates the two line connection terminals.

Kenmore 90 series mod.# 110.28912791

OK The Kenmore 90 series mod.# 110.28912791 is not hard to work on. The problem on the washer was no agitation or spin.First I took the agitater out of the tub,and put them aside. Then I tilted the washer to get to the bottom of the washer. Inbetween the motor and I gueuss pump there are three pieces that need to be replaced called (motor coupler). I disconnected ac cord from wall outlet, the cold and hot water hoses. I disconnected the wires at the motor one piece and one two wire connection pluss move a small canister with two wires out of the way. Removed three bolts bottom of pump pulled pump and motor out, you have to turn back and forth a little and the whole assembly comes out. there are two screws that hold two clips at side of motor and motor come off easy. You will notice there is a black rubber disc with a plastic white three prong piece on each side. (Remove those pieces install same way ( you need to use something to hit the center of the plastic till it sets in, install black rubber piece six wholes three prongs on one side. Install second white pronged piece on the pump side and also hit center to set. Place pump over motor looking to (make sure) the top three prongs go inside three holes left in the black rubber piece. Once you line and they go inside line the motor to where the for rubber legs sat before put clips back on install the two screws, install shaft back in moving the motor side to side install the three bolts, hook wires plugs under the motor put canister with two wires back hook the two hoses back next to motor, stand washer back up, install agitater back, hook hot and cold hoses back plug back in and test. parts at sears (one hours time start to finish taking your time) keep track of all parts. Make diagram if you need to believe me it was easy and washer works great now. By the way when I took the parts off they did not look broken but were bad because now I have a working washing mashine. Parts fell out

WE FIXED IT!!!!! Ok my fabulous husband fixed my automatic thread foot last night and now I am sewing away. Here is what he did best I can describe. when you engage the thread shuttle, a piece comes down from the right of the sewing machine. I has a spring on the back and a very thin piece of wire with a white plastic moving part. the foot has to snap under the white plastic thing... so you have to very carefully take the white thing out of the track and then put the foot in. the bar side with the larger metal pin goes here and the foot should be facing towards the needle. Hope this helps and if I didn;t explain it well please leave me a note and I will try again :)
