Replacement is probably not necesarry. a good cleaning is usually the problem if you pull it out and vacume all the parts under it and in front make sure the condensor and coils etc. are not built up with dust. this is usually the problem.

Sides and front getting very hot seeming like the hot air stuck somewhere

They do tend to get warm but if it is excessively hot, the fan may not be working.

The samsung website offers questions and answers and offers good support.

As quoted from the site: -

It is normal for the exterior of your refrigerator to feel warm. There are heater pipes located throughout the refrigerator cabinet which periodically heat up to reduce condensation on the refrigerator's exterior walls. If your refrigerator is located in a damp, humid place, such as a garage or porch, this occurs more frequently.
However, if your exterior refrigerator walls are excessively hot, for example, too hot to touch comfortably, your refrigerator may have a problem and needs to be evaluated by a technician. The front of our refrigerator where the doors rest when closed is hot to the touch. Also, it seems to run more frequently. What could this mean?

the area the door rests on is normal to feel warm. it has a heater to keep it from getting condensation around the doors. Some models have a switch on the inside to turn this off. It usually says something like energy saver. As far as it running more frequently, Could be several things that would be hard to diagnose without seeing it.

Mullion between freezer and refrigerator is extremely hot.

They rarely use 'heaters' anymore. If there is a heater there will be somthing like a 'energy saver' option to turn it off. More likely it is a mullion loop that is part of the sealed system tubing. The harder the frige works the hotter that area will be. So if the inside temp rises so will the temperature of the mullion. Start by checking your frige and freezer temperatures with a thermometer. The freezer should be between 5-10 deg ABOVE zero and the frige should be about 35 or 36 deg. Also check that the condenser is not dirty. The condenser is the coils that are usually underneath the frige. They should be cleaned at least annually. Also while you're under there make sure the condenser fan is running. You should feel a little air movement and possibly hear it running from the front under the doors. If it's not running you'll need to find out why, but would usually be a problem with the motor. Also there was a carboard panel on the back at the bottom of the frige from the factory, that panel HAS to be in place to direct air across the condenser and not back behind the frige.

My frigerator

This will get warm. If very hot check and clean coils in front, underneath. Also check fan behind rear panel. It should be turning when the unit is running. Also check for door not closing properly.

Loud Humming and Hot Front Panel

DONT TOUCH ANYTHING. IF IT IS COOLING CORRECTLY LEAVE IT. LOUD HUMMING IS COMMON ON SOME COMPRESSORS.(ANNOYING I KNOW).THE HEATING ON THE FRONT IS NORMAL AS IT IS THE MULLON HEATERS WHICH RUN THROUGH THE FRAME. IF THAT AREA WERE COLD, CONDENSATION WOULD OCCUR AND WOULD DRIP CONTINUOUSLY.
